after getting divorced I have been on a no exercise, drinking, eating what I want, gaining weight diet... Its time for a change. Heading to check out the gym tonight and may hire a personal trainer. I broke it off for good with my girlfriend today, so its time to get serious about a lifestyle change...wish me luck...

If anyone has that formula of Jack's diet where you figure out how much you want to weigh and eat that many calories per day post it here...TIA

I gained about 15 lbs since getting divorced and looked in the mirror today and I don't like myself...my girlfriend and I have been on the outs for a few weeks, I ended it for good today, and I feel so much better too

Don't do jacks diet

Ill guess u weigh about 230? To sustain that weight, u need about 2700 calories a day. If u take in 500 less calories than that a day, u lose 1 pound a week. You'll lose more if u exercise as u can subtract those calories from what u eat. Figuring in the exercise, if u go at it hard, u can be 1000-1500 net calories a day easily and lose healthily and fast. Count calories and eat less than ur body requires and exercise. Any other diet plan is bad. GL!

Ps. Don't start out with insanity or p90x bc they r too hard and u won't stick with it.

get at it hedgy, once you start exercising, you wont even want to eat any of that nasty shit

i was lean strong at 200 about 5 years ago, ballooned up to 250 pure fat, been exercising for the last few months/eating much better and already down to 230 and feel so much better

good luck with it

Count all the calories you take in and keep it around 1500 max a day. You will lose about 10 pounds a month and it will happen if you don't cheat.

You'll probably lose more the first month but it will slow down until you hit a wall, like around 210, then they come off slow.

You can drink but you still can't go over the 1500 calories a day. 9 Bud Lights and a Ham sub at Subway with no mayo.

That'll work. Fill it up with rocks and move it 100 yards through the mud, empty it, and go back and do it again. Do that about 4 hours a day and you'll be lean and mean :box2:

How serious are you? Do you want to lose the weight in an effective manner that will give you the best chance of keeping it off long-term?

Weight watchers for Men.

I'm not kidding. One of my best friends has dropped 60lbs in about 6-8 mos without working out! That just goes to show how his body was not meant to handle that weight.

The weight-watchers makes it easy with points, allows you to see what real-life foods are...etc. If you do their program and stick to the system it works.

If you want to wing it or try some fly-by-night diet it's just not going to last long-term.
