Well, I suppose the implication here is that anyone who thinks that Sapp's hit is a cheap shot is some kind of wuss who 'never played the game' and therefore does not understand the mentality of the average jock. I'm curious what level of play is required in order to qualify as having an understanding of the game. Would intramural flag football count? Pop Warner? Perhaps being a high school bench warmer? Or must one attain the level of college player? Semi-pro? But then, who can really understand 'the game' except the true Pro Players themselves? I mean, they play a totally different game do they not?
Basically we have people here who are jock types who think it's OK to maliciously earhole a guy. I happen to think that that kind of stuff is bad for the game - call me a wuss, but I don't like seeing guys hauled off on stretchers because of cheap shots (well, I may make an exception for Sapp after this incident).
BTW boys, I've dealt with you jock types all my life so please be careful, we're not in a bar where you can shake me around, we're dealing only with words here and in a battle of wits - you fellows are only half-armed.
En Garde!
