lol.... even going by statistics, Tony Parker is better than Jason Terry.

much like that, the general consensus here is against your opinion.

I guess we should never read the news to see what is going on in the world because the media always has an agenda. Where do you keep up with current events, or are you oblivious to what is going on in the world because you are against the media and don't believe what they say because it, according to you, is all an agenda?

your opinion is not always right. almost everyone who has posted in this thread agrees that pitbulls are more dangerous than other dogs but because you disagree, WE are the sheep.

you say all of these media outlets have an agenda because they report these things about pitbulls.

where the fuck in the world would a 6 year old get bitten in the head and killed by a dog and it not be reported?

I thought you would get a kick out of the terry-parker thing.
No, my opinion is not always right except to me and since it is an opinion....I am good with being right by me all the time.

I actually get a lot of my news from various international resources. I even watch the "Westernized" Al Jazeera fairly often. I still watch and read national and local news and somewhere in all that is the truth.

A 6 year old will be reported but a drug dealer may not.

these are all international news outlets....from a country who already has a complete ban on pitbulls....what agenda would they have?

I forgot to say, even if the consensus is not in agreement with me, it doesn't mean I am wrong. I will continue to educate those that ask and continue to be an activist for animal rights and to end BSL. The consensus has been wrong before. And yes, I think all major media outlets in the U.S. have some sort of agenda, selectively report, play to the public dissent, feed misleading information and are generally irresponsible when it comes to the true ethics and responsibility of journalism.

The country already has a complete ban on them and you are asking what agenda they may have? Kind of answered your own question don't you think? You don't see about murders and robberies on the ten o'clock news because they are trying to sway public opinion against the current laws do you? The agenda is to continue to "reassure" the public that what is in place is the right thing to do, now go to work, eyes forward, don't question anything. Baaah baaah baaah

so when a pack of pitbulls kills a lady out for a jog or a family pitbull kills a member of the familys small child, it should not be reported and swept under the rug? if it is reported, it is just the media having an agenda?

when things keep happening with the same breed, I don't think it is a coincidence. that is why they keep track and dont just lump all dog bites and fatalities into one category.

I don't think I've ever agreed with one of fatdaddy's opinion and I don't post much but read most of the stuff, but I think he's got a point here. I do think aggressiveness varies by breed and Pitbulls are maybe the most aggressive ones, so caution with other people's dogs is in order, as it should be with ALL breeds.

We don't know what percentage of Pittbulls are 'vicious', it might be the same as in humans, or as in let's Mexicans (I'm Mexican, so not to mention any other race or look racist), maybe Mexican's are more aggressive than Frenchs, maybe we can't compare people to dogs, but let me tell you something, I'm more afraid of people than I'm of dogs. You are careful with people you don't know, you should also be with dogs. I agree maybe more with Pittbulls and other more aggressive (than the norm) breeds.

Death being the barometer, all should be reported to police obviously. Couldn't care less if Channel 5 is told.

They don't keep track of all dog bites, as witnessed by Jaek's post and his mean little shit of a dog biting like 14 people and none getting reported. Media sensationalizes dog attacks made by Pitt Bulls in order to further their agenda, if you don't believe that then you simply aren't willing to put in the time to find the truth because maybe this subject isn't important to you. Almost all of our national media outlets are owned by only a few large corporations and those corporations have agendas. Hence the term, "some people say, or some people are saying". That isn't reporting because nobody said it, they are just pushing an agenda. "It is being reported that so and so", etc.... It's all bullshit.

Everyone is more aggressive than the French.

My fan club hasn't really taken off in Mexico yet.

By the way, did you see where Mexico overtook the U.S. as being the fattest country in the world. Hell, no wonder you are more afraid of people. You fat fuckers must be eating everything down there because we have some portly bastards up here.

That ought to win some fans south of the border for me.

what the hell can you sensationalize about a pack of pitbulls KILLING a lady out for a jog? what can you sensationalize about a family pitbull KILLING a 6 year old boy of the family?

it must be nice to know everything about anything but the evidence against your opinion is overwhelming. but the ace up your sleeve is anyone who disagrees with you is a sheep because the media is agenda driven. got it.

we should discredit ESPN too when they say "its being reported that _____ has been traded" because hey, that is bullshit and just an agenda since they are after all owned by a bigger corporation.

Not what I said, argues out of context boy. They use those terms, and I wasn't speaking about sports reporting, so they can remove the responsibility of truth in reporting. They don't have to show a source when "some people are saying". Sheesh Port. Relax.

I didn't say anything about the dog killing the kid or the lady out for a prance. Of course they are going to be reported on and justifiably so. You should probably not go prancing in the park anymore until they find the dog that did it. No need to round them all up though.

no way would I ever let my kids around a rottweiler or a pit bull, or me for that matter

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

So you won't let your kids around a Rottie, Pit, Or yourself??? nice wording.

I owned a Rottie for 7 years before we had to put him down because he got cancer. We got him 2 yrs before my first kid was born and let me tell you- he was the BIGGEST baby ever. Once the kids came along he got worse. He would whine and carry on if they were crying like "Why aren't you paying attention to them?" I was getting a bottle for my daughter one day and he constantly paced back and forth from her to me whining until I had the bottle made and picked her up. Those kids crawled all over him, pulled his ears, played with his tongue, etc and he never batted an eye. He was never aggressive towards them or anyone else. He was very well trained in English and German. (We went to obedience class as part of our ownership when we got him and the guy taught us both languages) We didn't even have to walk him on a leash in public- but we did. People would see us coming down the sidewalk and cross the street in fear. Yes he was a big boy (150lbs) but he was a good dog. He has been gone for 5 years and my kids still talk about him and sometimes cry over him. I don't care what kind of dog someone has I am very wary of it until I get to know it and I am especially cautious when my kids are around other dogs. Some dogs get a bad rep without getting a chance.

I am pretty sure that pitbulls aren't being targeted by one isolated incident. Which is the whole point. The same incidents keep happening with the same breed of dogs. It isn't a coincidence.

I don't think Jacks dog has ever ran over to someone sitting on their porch and bit their fucking nose off.

See, you don't know that with any degree of certainty.

Dude,
The attacks have gone up and we are reporting on them now as a result of the rise of pitt fighting and breeding habits of the owners, period. The attacks were not a problem prior to that single event. Go look up some stats on that there flip flop, and while you are at it, look up the numbers of Rondo and see if he is better than Parker.

No thanks. It is just agenda driven content put out by pitbull activists. I will not be a sheep and believe a word of it because they only have their own agenda in mind.

http://newsone.com/2526520/linda-henry-pitbull-attacks/

"Henry recounted to WGNO the horrific incident by the dogs, whom she and her common-law husband, Clarence Allen, loved and treated like their children. ?They grab my left leg and rip all that up. Then they tried to get my eye ball out,? Henry said. ?They ripped my eye lids off, they bit my lip, then they grabbed my head. In the hospital, they had to take skin off my leg to put on my head.?"

"Henry and Allen are behind the proposed pit bull legislation wholeheartedly. And they have data to back up their support. According to DogsBite.org, from 2005 to 2012, pitbulls have killed 151 Americans, about one citizen every 19 days. Of these deaths, fifty-two percent involved a family member and a household pitbull. Notably, in the first 8 months of 2011, nearly half of those killed by a pitbull owned the animal."

if you want other people to go and look up stats, how about that one?

YEAH I KNOW  I do not want my kids or me to be around a rottweiler or pit bull, they scare me...I have never been around either one but based on what I read in the post on wikipedia I will keep it that way. I had a cocker spaniel and my female bit my ex-wife, she deserved it, but she was fighting my other dog over some treats...

I love dogs, there are not many I do not like but the risk of being killed by one is enough for me to stay away from rottweilers and pit bulls
