Actually, it would be nice to have a dozen of them on hand because people are willing to pay double for one when the power is out. :0074

"the bunker"
honestly don`t mind a foot or so of snow if the power stays on....remember the storms that dropped back to back hammers on the area in 2010(i think it was 2010?...one was over 30 inches).....i remember standing on the deck hip deep with a long extension pole trying to get some of that weight off the roof....ridiculous...

please,no more of that shit...

Generators are so nice to have. If you ever need it just one time, that pays for itself for not losing all the conveniences for however long it is the power is out.

EQUIPMENT..

Ummm, that's called price gauging. That will land you in jail.
Pretty sure that's bad for store owners but you can sell your own personal property for whatever you want. No?

These are after 6 hours. We still have 12 Hours of this stuff coming. Hopefully the majority is snow. I am west of atl and actually am not getting the worst of it. Some counties already have over an inch of ice. Over 250,000 are without power including many in my county. Still have mine but am prepared for it to go out at any point.

I don't really know.

I bought a generator that will run the whole house seven years ago and have only used it once. BUT it is there if need be. Not really a big investment and some peace of mind.

Everybody here has one.

Anyone know what costs would be for a natural gas generator of decent power? The good news is the home we purchased already has a separate panel and a changeover switch. We'd just need the generator and the labor to get it all set up. 4-6k?

THE WHITE SHYT SUCKS..

STAY SAFE..

the power thing is just something that really sucks but the worst is what the country got to see first hand..

stranded.

.sure hope they avoided that stuff this time..

we used to see the mass chaos here in Va. Beach..

then the powers that be got smart..

either don't open..

or shut down early and go home..

and no schools ..

took care of a lot of the dumb stuff..

STAY WARM..

Depends on the size of your house. 3-4 grand here.
