Sorry for my loss? The game hasn't even begun yet.
...............................................................

its sorry for you lost

I know you havnt been around long so I will go back years and tell you about a capper in here by the name of Jesse Lover.

His avatar was a corona beer .

He was from Mexico and he would go on streaks that were hard to believe at times. I won alot of money following him and I learned alot about what he looked at for his winning plays.

One day I was in his thread and posted what I thought was a winning play. He said to me
" Sorry for your lost " The play lost and I have used that line ever since, when I was very confident in my play.
..........................................................

what you do not understand

Is that this game is already over

Winning Formula

Wk 1
#20 BYU beats Oklahoma - 14-13

Bradford gets hurt, but BYU hangs in tough and takes this game. Feather in hat for toughness and stepping up to the plate.
...........................................................
=

Miami U - Beats #18 Florida St 38-34

Late touchdown drive by our main man QB.

Got to give credit where credit is due.
..........................................................
=

#20 BYU - tromps over Tulane 54-3
Just a tune up game for their big home coming out party vs Florida St.

...............................................................
=

#20 Miami beats #14 Georgia Tech. 33-17

You cant take anything away from Ga Techs run game as that is all they do. This didnt matter to Miami and they crushed the run and put Nesbitt into a backwards way all game. :00hour

..................................................................
=

Florida St goes into #7 BYU home field and fawking runs over them 54-28 :scared

The same Florida St that lost to Miami U

...........................................................
=

#13 Virginia Tech holds on barely beating
#19 Nebraska at home on a lucky mis-play in Nebraskas secondary for a 80 yard play. Then Nebraska gives VT all day to throw the last pass while they stand around with their thumbs in their ear.

ADD this all up

=

Miami U does the Hokie stomp

:00hour :00hour

It seems simple enough

I went ahead and picked Miami -2.5 against my better judgement (only 2 units)

I definitely don't like to use what I call "transitive logic" (if a>b, and b>c, then a>c) to guess outcomes of games... because, well, it just is never that simple

What concerns me is that Miami has yet to face a real defense, and a REAL defensive coordinator. Jacory Harris may very well get brought back down to earth. The garbage TD passes he got against FSU & GT are simply NOT going to be there, and waiting in the wings will be very opportunistic Bud Foster-coached ball hawks--no, they're not the caliber of athlete of Miami's, but they are more than good enough football players.

Hence, Miami's passing game will not only be neutralized, they may give way to defensive scores. Miami's run game has big-play ability, but they will not consistently convert 3rd downs against this type of defense. Whatever big-play potential it does have will be abandoned if they fall behind.

The other problem is that Miami's defense is NOT Alabama's by any stretch. VT can score on this defense.

So.... here's hoping Scott-Atlanta has another rabbit in his hat!

I have to hand it to you Nole , there are very few times when someone will come into my thread

be on the same side as me

And give some actual information about the play.

you are to be commended.

To your last statement I only have one thing to say

I agree with that but you cannot discount the way Miami played defense against Ga Tech.

You can say anything you want about Tech who beat Georgia last year when they still had Stafford and Moreno.

But Tech can run the fawking ball against anyone.

Big key to this game is that Va Tech will be stopped in the trenchs, and Miami will be able to drop back and cover .

Did I say cover

I smell money and it smells green !

I do not use this to make my final play.

I always think through the logic of the play

and this helps me to get on the right side to play.

I always do it as part of my handicapping the games I play. I hardly ever post it though.

Arkansas over Alabama

Ryan Mallett (pictured) has been on fire this season, but now he faces a real defense. And please don't say Georgia is a real defense, Dawgs fans.

Anyway, Mallett and his plethora of skill complements are also the first real test Alabama's defense has had. Va. Tech, for obvious reasons, doesn't count. :142smilie :00hour

So what you have here is a Bama team that's still somewhat unproven on offense, especially in the passing game, finally meeting an opponent that will force it to trade points. It will be a test, but Arkansas has the weapons to give the Tide a serious scare. Keep in mind that the last time the Razorbacks visited Alabama, they lost on a TD pass with 8 seconds remaining.

........................................................

Va Tech for obvious reasons doesnt count :142smilie

Va Tech 106 th in the country for passing offense.
:scared
Va Tech 107 th in the country in run defense :scared
