3 miles a day, Monday thru Friday, uphill 12% and takes exactly one hour. dunclock does 4 miles in an hour but he's younger.

I know it's no big deal for most but for me it's something rather than nothing.

"now lemme think...how am i gonna say this so that jack doesn`t bludgeon me with an empty beer bottle?"

jack....it`s weasel here..i`m trying to help....this is a constructive comment...i know you`re gonna have the urge to wreak havoc on me(probably like i just wreaked havoc on a klondike bar),but i mean well.....i know it`s "alcohol saturday"....but try and be gentle...:sadwave:

i think that 3 miles a day 5 days a week while dieting might just burn you out....you`re gonna get tired of that pretty quick...

i just do a half hour a day 5 or 6 times a week with a little resisitance training a few times...resisitance traing burns fat.and changes the way you look in your clothes....if you put on a little muscle,it`ll actually burn fat while you sleep...

you`re better off doing something you can sustain over the long haul....

Tuesday AM check in. Actually feeling a bit more like a human being today. Recovery has been a bit of a rollercoaster, but all things considered I think I'm doing well. My wife is a good combination of initial sympathy and subsequent prodding, which is an interesting combo. She did so much from Thursday through last night, having to take over all the work and helping me out, while making sure I don't get too comfortable.

First couple of days I was pretty heavily medicated, so nothing seemed very real. The catheter is a pain the in pecker, and in the bladder. Had a ton of bladder spasms which were really annoying, essentially about one every minute for a LONG time after surgery. Doctor gave me something that helped that. Didn't notice much soreness or pain early on due to vicodin fog, but have cut the vicodin way back. Did next to nothing Fri and Sat, cut the vicodin to one every 6 hours Fri, then didn't take any on Sunday, and I was up moving and sitting up almost all day. That proved to be a mistake, really took a toll on all parts of the system. Went back to one vicodin every so often Monday and did a little around the house. Cleaned the kitchen up and that caused some problems. In short, I can't do too much without having pain and overall discomfort, especially without pain meds.

Appetite has been okay, really have had no issues with urination (although more red than I like when doing something) or eating/stomach. Taking the occasional vicodin and doing things in short spurts with naps is my new plan for today/tomorrow. Feel pretty good thus far today.

The main thing is I got the report from urologist and the lymph nodes and toxicology report came back clean, no issues. So, the main concern is cancer has been eliminated from the body for now, which is great. I would not have handled a different answer well. Will have ongoing checkups moving forward to see if it crops up somewhere else, and hopefully that won't be the case for at least a long time.

The new challenges will be the catheter removal on Friday AM, and how the urination issues are to deal with. No way to tell at this point, and I'm clearly concerned about that, but hoping for the best. I'll have the weekend to see how that goes before school starts back on Monday AM. Real life begins again then, could be a challenge. Then we need to try to manufacture a boner at some point, but that's the farthest thing from my mind right now...

Apparently I still enjoy looking at hot women, I've noticed them on tv and the web from time to time, and they still very much appeal to me. Hopefully that will be in a manly way at some point and not just an art appreciation way moving forward.

That's enough for now, thanks for the well wishes. I'll post info on how it's going so people can know what goes on. So far, so good. :0074

Glad to hear everything went well, Chad, especially the complete removal of the C.
