What if a person of authority asked you for your guns? I just dont get how people who do not experience the negative effect of the violations of ones rights cant at least see the violation.

Sure it will never happen to you or me Hedgy cause we are white middle aged men, but your sure as fuck not going to tell me its not a big deal that an Americans rights are clearly being trampled. Why should he have to give in to the officer who is violating his rights, sure he could and get the issue for him over with, but its bigger then that. A man and his wife and/or girlfriend are driving home with their 2 week old child and a validation traffic stop or even the no lights bullshit stop escalates into the officers threatening this new mom with social services taking her kid if she doesnt step out of the vehicle. That's fucked up, plain and simple. Just like I said years ago when the Hispanics where getting carded for nothing but being hispanic, sure if you are legal show, but change doesnt happen unless you have the "legals" standing up for their own fucking rights.

Just like Rosa Parks could have easily went to the back of the bus, why cause a ruckus, why cause it was fucking wrong thats why. It's 2014 and technology is bringing more and more of these issues to light.

Fuck me. 2 week old baby in the back and they think he looks like a guy with warrants. Guy nailed it right on the head "every black man looks like someone with warrants."

I'd love to represent them against that municipality, clear clear violation of both their rights.

I got pulled over about a month and a half ago for speeding, I said yes sir no sir when he approached my vehicle, handed him my license and registration and asked him for a warning ticket as I was on the way out of town, he comes back after checking my record and says slow down and have a nice weekend...gives me a warning

I disagree, when a person of authority asks me for my ID I give it to him, of course I am not hiding anything...The officer was exactly right to question the guy especially when he was causing trouble filming the episode, he was antagonizing the officer on purpose being a smart ass, be glad I wasn't the cop I would have broken the window and yanked his smart ass out of the car, I was never one to question authority, you get more being nice than being an asshole in my experience..

Have a great day FDC :0008

you got to watch it my friend...what if this guy asked for your id? don't bend over for every authaurity person.....next thing you know they will want your guns and your chew....no mother fucker is getting hanks chew

It's a question of reasonable cause. Speeding is one thing but getting pulled over for not having your lights on when it's still light outside is ridiculous.

On the course!
Exactly, why on earth do you need to see the ID of the passenger of a car, if it was just a traffic violation. That is where it gets ridiculous.

I didn't watch any videos posted. I've seen enough of that shit.

I believe police check IDs, because many criminals don't carry them. Is it 'profiling'? I would suppose it is. I would also suppose it is a time tested tactic, that has worked for many years.

The thing I will say about a lot of these videos that I have seen is this: Running that camera seems to make people think they now have a right to be assholes. Well, you don't. Also, YOUR cute little videos are why many departments are now spending taxpayer money to equip every officer with a camera, as well.

Using a camera to make sure the police stay in line? No problem. Using that camera to try and goad a cop into becoming an internet sensation, or your lawsuit meal ticket, is bullshit.

No room for that, anymore than there is room for 'bad cop' behavior.

Being an asshole is NOT against the law. Violating someone's civil rights is. Cops should be held to a higher standard of behavior than citizens.
We are not trying to award this guy a citizen of the year award, he is clearly a rabble-rouser, but guess what? the annoying jackasses who INSIST their rights are honored are doing the grunt work while us polite people sit back and cluck our tongues at their rude behavior.

In my opinion a functioning society needs people like this 'gentleman', more than it needs polite people who blindly give in to the governments power whenever pressed.

couldn't do a local, state or fed policeman's job myself..every stop of a vehicle is a chance to get shot .

they get far to little credit for trying to be peace officers

I couldn't either.
Honestly I think we need to drastically reduce the amount of laws on the books, so police really only need to butt into our lives regarding the most obvious things.

If anything, the millions of additional laws and codes passed over the course of the past few decades gives police too much power, which makes it more like that they will be corrupt.

Simplify their jobs and they are a lot more likely to have positive interactions with citizens.
I think this will be better for the officers themselves too.

Yep. It's why police officers earn a salary and benefits. They are paid (by us) to be fair, even tempered, and within the constraints of their job description.

Is it fair to drive around with a camera and bait cops?

In that first vid the dude didn't start filming until shit turned weird. The second video is just a medley of people being assholes at immigration check points. The last one is more of a PSA.

I don't think the cop did anything wrong in the first video, it was the guy in the car being an asshole that was causing the problems :0008
