Almost :0008

Been 2 months here after 40yrs of that. I doubt I would have ever made it this far without the patches. I'm not 'out of the woods' by any means but a ton better. I had to drop coffee and soda also; no way I could have had a cup of coffee without having a cig. Those 2 things meant everything to me I'm embarrassed to say.

ya run that speed and cig chemicals out for a few more months and your body will thank you a million times over..

super start...nobody should have pitch black chemically infected lungs..

I'm on year 4 on without a sip of coffee or a cig...

words can't describe that great feeling of ones lungs actually filling up with air..

Been off the cigs for a little over 4 months now, after 35+ years of 1 - 2 packs a day. Nicotine gum helps, but I am now doing way too much of the pouches

Thanks guys, that means a lot, I had caught myself being a little whining and feeling sorry for myself and it definitely wasn't helping. I have to tell myself that although I haven't smoked in 2 months I was still getting nicotine through the patches so I'm sure there will be another spell to get through. I walk every day about 3 miles and sometimes do it twice if I feel I need to. I want to get back on the treadmill to jog and really have a good sweat but it hasn't been long enough after the surgery yet. Thanks again, it helps to know that others have gone through it or are going thru it :0074
