I kinda feel like I'm talking out of my ass here and clogging up general

In no way are you "clogging up general", this thread is hard to read, but it is clearly an outlet for you and if anybody deserves an outlet it is you.

Keep your head up.

Thanks guys :0008

I tell you what, I am one proud pappa. Both of my girls testified yesterday and 3 different people said they both did awesome. :00hour

I walked Aliyah into the court room with Constable Kurt, he's a pretty big dude I mean I'm 6'0 and 220 and this guy made me feel like a little kid :) Anyway he's been on duty everytime we've been to the court house and has been very kind to me and my girls, but to be beside him and watch him do everything in order to shield her from seeing Tony was just awesome, I think I may drop in some time this next week just to say thanks. Kate decided that she was a big girl and didn't need me to go in with her and she would go in with Constable Kurt.

Due to time constraints I was not able to testify myself, and I heard that the hearing would be held over until Feb. 6&7 however this has not been confirmed yet. I know I've said this before, but man the wheel of justice turns ever so slowly :(

We all went out for dinner last night to Denny's as a reward for the girls being so brave, the girls had the cinnamon pancakes and ordered a drink in a cupcake cup that they could take home with them afterwards, man you should have seen the smiles on their faces :0074
We take turns saying grace for our meals, and last night was Aliyah's turn. So after giving thanks for the food she also said "and thank you God that we got to go to court today" Brought tears to my eyes...

Did I ever tell you what a blessed man I am? :11jackson

I know this is difficult subject matter, so I really do appreciate the responses :toast:

I appreciate the sentiment Pocket Aces, but I am just a deeply flawed man who has been shown a LOT of grace .It's my family that makes me feel Great :00hour

God bless you and yours :0008

Well, tomorrow is my day to testify :toast:

Court is supposed to start at 0930, I want to be there early and I won't be waiting in the witness room. My ample ass will be parked on the bench in front of the court room. He doesn't intimidate me, and he will know it. I'm just scared I will forget or leave something important out in court.

Well let's let tomorrow unfold and see where we go from there. :0074

Crazy day, I was down there before anything started. The deputy sheriffs were bound to keep apart Tony from the witness, but I was able to maneuver myself so he had to walk past me. When he saw me, I just smiled. I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of thinking for one second that I was scared or intimidated by him.

Tammy, my sister in law was called first. She testified for the bulk of the morning until 1130 when our matter was adjourned until 130. At 1:45 Tammy's cross examination continued until approx 2:30. I was called for my turn. Crown asked me a few basic questions essentially saying that I was the father of 4 kids and that Tony had opportunity to perpetrate the alleged actions, asked me to identify Tony and that he was their uncle and asked if they had any other Uncle Tonys.

Then the cross started... He started asking very vague and asinine questions like would it surprise you to know...blah blah blah. He talked of honour and asked what it meant to me. He started to ask if I would be ok with somebody teaching the girls about honour, to which I said that it would depend who was doing the teaching where the teaching was taking place and in what context. He asked if Kaitlin had a boyfriend, and the judge shut him right down saying it wasn't relevant or admissible. So many of his questions were so vague or long that by the time he finished asking it I had to ask him to repeat or clarify. Sometimes he would withdraw the questions instead of repeating. There were a number of times that the judge would chime in or comment, something like "I don't blame you for not knowing, I don't even know what he's asking" :mj07:

In between all of the questions there would be a long pause by Tony and he would close his eyes and tilt his head up. At one point the judge got upset by the delays and vague questions so he gave Tony a warning and 10 minute time limit to ask his questions saying at that time the next witness would be called and suggested he get to a pertinent line of questioning, or not .... he also said that this was the first time he had ever had to do that :0002

I felt bad for the judge and the crown counsel, cc kept shaking her head and laying her head down on the desk with her hands clasped on top in exasperation. The looks from both her and the judge, heck even the deputy sheriff during all of Tony's antics were almost comical.

I was dismissed at approx 4:10.

All in all I am ok with how I did. My adrenaline was pumping but I was able to keep calm and composed. I kept my self from seething as I kept eye contact with that son of a bitch. I didn't remember everything that I wanted to...... tomorrow I will contact crown and see if I was damaging to our case or not.

I'm hoping it was wrapped up today and we won't have to wait for another continuance. This is just the preliminary hearing to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to continue on to a supreme court trial. If we continue I don't see how there can be a trial before fall when we shall do this all over again on a grander scale :scared

I want to thank you all for your responses and prayers they are greatly appreciated. :0008
