Yep... and took Paterno down with him. AND the guy that supposively WITNESSED it still has his job? Could someone explain that? WHY? Everyone has their own opinions, but to me, alot of people are going down from the actions of one. I do have a problem with that.
I guess we'll see in the near future.

I could not disagree more with your absurdly myopic take.

Everyone has an opinion Cie. Yours is like mind over matter... I don't mind, because it don't matter.
You have a right to disagree. Do you know any facts supporting your strong opinion? Nevermind... don't even bother.

Does anyone here have facts of your own as well? Or are you basing your opinion on the information being put out by a conglomerate of media people that have been trying to over the top outdo each other with their cries of how wrong this is.

The way this escalated - from 1 guy saying it needs to be investigated, to the next guy saying JoePa needs to resign, to the next going going one step further saying JoePa needs to be fired, to the next guy saying the entire administration should be canned... to what next?

Each media source is trying to yell the loudest and garner more attention to themselves by being even more holy than the guy who spoke last.

It won't surprise me one bit if some newscaster hops on tv tonight and says that the Library Joe Paterno built should be burned down because of this.

The Court of Public Opinion is now in session. Judge Joe Public now presiding.

We've had a Sandusky interview, McQuery email, The Lawyer impregnated and married a 17 year old and I just heard that Joe Pa will be a contestant on the New Fear Factor. Rogan's going to own his ass

Have you read the indictment? If so, then your head is in the sand. If not, then you may want to give it a gander. Nevermind.....why do I bother:shrug:

.

read the 23 page court report....

all 9 victims report the same exxact actions/behaviors on sanduskys part, all which ended with him molesting/raping 7-10 year old boys...

the victims for the most part have not met or do not no eachother, so not like they all compared stories and said "hey lets go fuck with this guy who works for pennstate"

i beleive it said 2 of the victims knew eachother, but besides that, all seperate cases, with all the same results.

that is evidence enough for me...

and believe me i know how much jumping to conclusions and allowing media to get involved can truley misportray a person/case, i went through it with my father, who in his instance really didnt have any facts against him.

but this is not the same. plenty of stuff out there to paint the picture...i realize they are not truley "facts" rather then accusations, but come on man..

and oh ya,

DID YOU HEAR MCQUEARY CAUGHT HIM RAPING A KID IN THE SHOWER, AND ANOTHER ADULT CAUGHT HIM GIVIN ORAL TO ANOTHER CHILD

i agree, it is fair to wait for the facts, but in this case, they are all over the place my friend...

read the 23 pages and you will understand...

.

and the 23 page report has nothing to do with the media

straight testimonies from the 9 victims, and adults who were part of, and witnessed it....

if all of the accusations are unture, and the 9 victims, and multiple witnesses are lying, man sandusky is one unlucky guy....

and marine,

if you were referring to facts about joepa, rather then sandusky, i apologize

are there any "facts" showing what exactly joepa knew?....nope....

once again, except for numerous adults stating what happened......

it comes back to it once again, why would anyone go out of their way to fuck joepa and make up such lies....

it just doesnt make sense....

mcqueary doesnt gain anything from it....actually, his life is now fucked....

just to much out there stating otherwise man, i would love to say joepa knew nothing, heard nothing, saw nothing,

but i would most likely be lying....he knew....

read up about it then let me know what you think...

remember, this comin from the biggest PSU and Joepa guy in the world....

sad sad stuff

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with your point, I get it. But when someone ass-rapes little boys well than that's what's going to happen. Oh....wait, allegedly ass-rapes little boys. I guess you are one of those innocent until proven guilty guys, huh?

Great- That attorney sounds like a real gem too.

I'm surprised that Sandusky's attorney let him do this interview....I may be way off base here, but if he did allow this, then I wonder if Sandusky can claim malpractice....May be one of the lawyers here can address this for me....

I am talking about Joe Paterno with this.
Once again, based on the posts made replying to this it appears that the reading comprehension is minimal, and you are just banging the same drum the media has been by chanting over and over again about ass raping little boys.

No where in my post do I mention Sandusky, or the nature of sexual crimes. I talked about why Joe Paterno had a long, honorable life and outstanding reputation torn down to nothing when no one really knows with certainty what his role in this was.

People say - but it was Paterno's football program, the buck stops with him.
I say bullshit. If you're going to play that game, you need to go even higher than Joe because even he reports to people, and they report to people, and they report to people. You need to go ALL the way up the chain and start cutting throats. Instead, he's been the one to take the brunt of it and have his entire career tarnished and stained because people start piling on and banging the drum trying to outdo each other with their holyness.

I apologize for putting the orginal thought in the sandusky thread.

Paterno is the top of the chain in State College. You don't realize that? The outcry probably would not have been the same on a smaller campus where the coach is not such a figurehead. We can call it semantics and you can give me the rank and file but it's common knowledge that the buck stops with Joe Paterno in that entire area. The other reason for a lot of the backlash, IMO at least, is the complete irony in a guy who built his reputation on morals and doing what's right who did the complete opposite in this situation. Oh...wait, we don't know what happened, right? We do know he was informed to some degree that a sexual assault on a child took place. That is irrefutable. From that point on he shouldn't have been able to sleep until the matter was taken care of to the full extent of the law. We're not talking about what he's legally obligated to do but morally.

BTW....they did go higher up the chain....the AD and University President are both gone....both of whom are 1 and 2 steps upstream from Paterno. Did you forget that fact?

Aren't you from this area? You sound like a complete, delusional homer.

FACT: Paterno was informed some type of sexual assault occurred on a child

FACT: JP did not do as much as he could to make sure this was dealt with appropriately

FACT: JP allowed Sandusky on campus, with children, after the fact

ALLEGATION (Will be FACT after court): Sandusky raped multiple children after the initial incident

So...cry me a fucking river. Yes, a lifetime of hard work and honor are destroyed by HIS ACTIONS. When he looks in the mirror he's got no one to blame but himself. You make the bed you lie in.

Yes, I have lived and worked at Penn State for a few years.

And correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't there an investigation done by the police that cleared resulted in no further action taken?

1998. Investigation on Sandusky done by the Penn State police department. The District Attorney declines to file charges.

So now, the State judicial system should be on the hook as well for knowing about it, investigating it, and not taking further action.

So you've got a situation where years earlier an incident was reported and moved up the food chain and no formal disciplinary action was taken.
A few years later the same incident happens and suddenly Paterno is fired and painted as a horrible person.
