instead of +3.5. I just put a max bet on Cuse, what will they do?
It's got nothing to with the books, you dopes! It has to do with what kind of person YOU are!
I would love to be there when you get fuked over, to see the "that's how it goes" look you give.
Yeah, right.
I consider myself a very honest person. And I'm not someone who "looks for an angle" to screw someone else. Personally, I have never placed a bet on a "bad line" myself. All I was saying is that I really have no sympathy for the books. Why should you?
This isn't a matter of honesty for me, it's a matter of personal accountability, which is a completely foreign concept to most people these days. If you screw up, buck up and admit your mistake, and make it right. Period. If you need other people looking out for you and covering your ass all the time, maybe you shouldn't be in business.
And if you're a sportsbook and you have some dumbass working for you who is posting lines that are 31' points off, you should be more concerned with why that guy is in your employ, rather than individual bettors who try to take advantage of that line.
Just my .02.
So if a car dealer had a $70k Porsche on his lot and the sticker said $7k you feel entitlled to purchase the car for $7k? I guess you would say, "Learn from your mistake, Pal." It's called KARMA.

Has that ever happened?? I love when the ridiculous hypotheticals always come out during differences of opinion to try and strengthen a point. Like I said, I personally don't try to take advantage of mistakes like that. But I find it amusing that so many people jump all over someone who tried to take advantage of a bad line. It's "stealing" to some people? Wow. That's a bit of a stretch.
And we all know the bet will be voided. If anything he hurt himself by betting on the bad line instead of the +3'.
As for karma, I really don't believe in it. It would be great if it did exist though, because I should have a lot of it built up.
I believe in karma and I'm living proof that it does exist... Don't think this is a big karma question but the right road is usualy the best road to get there.... when you do the right thing it will come back to you at some point... You never know when the one time you don't bites you in the ass big time. As one that gambles, I try not to gamble with karma.
Fair enough. I respect your opinion and your beliefs.
And let me also just say I wasn't trying to piss anybody off or instigate anything. I think my posts may have come off as sounding like I'm all for people screwing others over whenever they get the chance, and that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm just a big believer in being accountable for your actions and righting your wrongs. To me that's a sign of integrity.
I agree with you/// I think the book should pay for his max bet...... If you are in business ,even if someone is trying to pull a fast one on you, you have to set your standards above theirs... you may lose on that transaction but no one can question you.... Thats karma, they will get it back 10 x's if they pay it....
