Congrats on the weight loss so far Jack. I've been doing Atkins since Feb. 6 and have dropped 81 pounds. I'm only half way to my goal.. but it's working well. My goal was to drop 100 by my cruise on June 2. I might fall a few pounds short, but I'm still very happy. I was thinking about mixing things up when I get back from my cruise, and I think your plan might just be the trick. Keep up the good work. Maybe you and I can get on the golf course this summer with Agent.

keep up the good work, rolltide. i'm rooting you in :)

Mama, what airline do you work for? I used to work for Delta, and yes what you do is really hard work.

Do the guys give you any crap, it's hard enough doing that work without taking any crap.

Good Luck.

you ain't just a shittin' it's hard work!! other than waitressing, it's the only physical job i've ever had. (used to paper pushing) I've been there 30 days so far, and lost 14 lbs, and honestly without extended effort. I've cut out quite a bit of the junk food tho, but have still had several high calorie meals over the course of that month.

Muscles that i never knew existed hurt until about last week, but that part is getting better now. I work for American Eagle in Moline, IL. Once August gets here, i should really be able to sweat off the pounds....LOL

As far as the *guys* giving me any crap..... we have 14 people at Moline, and only one of them is a guy.... do you think he dares give us any crap?? ;)

He did stand there and laugh at me one day tho, as i was up in the bin. OMG, there was SOOOO much luggage going onto that plane (EMBRAER) that only holds 50 passengers. I had 58 checked bags, 10 of them heavies, 15 valet checks, and 2 wheelchairs......Even thru the chuckling, i think he was impressed that i got it all crammed into that small space, cuz he went back and told the boss that i did a great job getting it all in there. (was having to stand on the belt loader at the end, cuz there was no more room in the bin to even stand to try and cram all the crap in!!) UGH /rant

one of these days i'm gonna have to try Jack's calorie limit thing in conjunction with the working my ass off!!! Would like to lose another 40 lbs before i only work with the bags 3 days per week.

A) Industrial size container of garden salad - replenish continuosly
B) Industrial size container of fruit salad - replenish continuosly
C) Broccoli / Cauliflower
D) Salmon / Poultry
E) Two containers of shredded cheese - Feta / Sharp Cheddar
F) Bottle of Wish-Bone Vinagrette (lowest in sodium of all salad dressings)
G) No fast-food of any kind
H) No white bread

Exercise

A) 100 situps per day
B) Touch yer toes 50 times per day

Drink plenty of water

Result - In less than 10 days, your bowel movements should be effortless and you'll be feeling much better.

what bedtime does the 7:30 p.m. cutoff time relate to? obviously 3rd shifters eat after 7:30 p.m. Where is the cutoff for a 3:00 a.m. bedtime? how about an 8:00 p.m. bedtime?

the 7:30 p.m. cutoff applies only to normal people.

annie, you've been relegated to the abnormal test group (which btw, greatly outnumbers their counterpart).

so what time do the *normal* people go to bed? guess that would give me an hour amount to go by to determine different cutoff times for different shifts.

you've never met him, have you buddy? ;)

yeah, it's him to a tee ;)

and T, thanks for the hour translation. will seem strange, and don't necessarily think it's necessary with the workout i'm getting these days, but hell, if it comes off faster, i'll try it..... can't wait till i get down to ideal weight, and can pig out on candy bars just to MAINTAIN!!!!

Nicotine is an appetite suppressor. Its easy to think you're dieting when all you have to do is light up a smoke when you're hungry. We who supported you during the failed attempt to quit smoking are disappointed. You had all the tools, suggestions, and intenet support required to quit. All that was missing was the mental toughness called willpower. Now you start a diet thread two months after your who wants to quit smoking thread. For some reason I take a cynical view of that. What most "madjackers" need to do is quit gambling their lives away and wasting their lives away on a website.Good luck

not that easy, slick.

not nearly as much as i am but i will try again soon. that's the best i can say at this point. it's hard and i'm weak when it comes to that disgusting habit.

Now you start a diet thread two months after your who wants to quit smoking thread
i started the diet the same day i tried to quit smoking. i decided to post about the results after i realized i found something that really worked. i hope it works for others as well. so stick your cynical view up and pay attention before you open your mouth you negative bastid.

Good luck

you hit the nail on the head with that.......somehow it's hard to believe a big diet thread after a smoking thread basically kept alive by bear and everybody else faltering, of course it's tough, but why start a thread to trump up interest/posts etc.......but of course theyll never be a "quit gambling" thread because then thered be no madjacks and no sportsbook ad revenue naturally, but it is true and I include myself that it is not productive to waste life away on a website and watching/betting games, luckily now moving back to NY there are enough things to do recreationally (golf, beach, met games in person, barbecuing, etc) to keep away from that crap, but it will always be there and the allure of winning and the axtion will always be tough to avoid.....ok off my soapbox today, but heed those words although not popular opinion by the minions on here is the truth :scared

Yea like you 2 dipshits have all the answers :142smilie You guys might remember the old quote "to each his own". You think BleedDodgerBlue should quit gambling? Im sure he makes more than you 2 combined. So Jack failed, big Fuc*ing deal. You arent nearly as dissapointed as him I can promise and at least he owned up to it. He could be on here acting as if he quit, who would know the difference?

did I say nobody wins gambling? never said that......have no idea what BDB makes if he does well good for him, I actually like him as a poster, but thats not the point, I just said he was right with what he said....a big hoopla shouldnt be started if it's a publicity stunt and isnt acted upon I think and skepticism is what he was getting at, naturally so, I didnt start the 'non popular opinion' against the minionrs here, g-d forbid anyone ever raises an alternative view point they get attacked :sadwave:
