if we hit 9000 people won't be able to get their money in there fast enough. i quit listening to CNBC and those guys calling for the sky to fall.

I haven't watched CNBC since the last time I posted about it.

When I was on there, it was all about good news???

If I hear of a CEO interview that I want to see, I'll tune in. But other than that, feck CNBC.

don't you have a grilling forum you use too? that one is mainly smoking.

Nah. I'm not sure what I could get from a grilling discussion forum.

I look up grilling recipes on a one-off basis when searching.

Obama approves nuclear energy deal with UAE

* Next step in approval process is sending it to Congress

* If approved, deal could generate $40 billion of business

WASHINGTON, May 20 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday approved a nuclear energy deal with the United Arab Emirates worth potentially billions of dollars to U.S. energy companies, setting the stage for Congress to decide whether to block it.

"I have determined that the performance of the agreement will promote, and will not constitute an unreasonable risk to, the common defense and security," Obama said in a statement that made no reference to U.S. concerns over a video showing a member of the ruling of family of Abu Dhabi allegedly abusing a man who is beaten with a plank of wood with a nail on it.

The administration of former President George W. Bush signed the pact with the wealthy Gulf state just days before leaving office in January.

The political climate for Obama to approve the pact became more difficult after a gruesome video surfaced showing an Afghan man being abused with an electric cattle prod, beaten with whips and a plank of wood with a nail on it and driven over by a car at a desert location in 2004.

Abu Dhabi's judicial department earlier this month said prosecutors had detained Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, a brother of the UAE crown prince, pending an outcome of an investigation into the video.

The next step in the approval process for the civil nuclear deal is for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to formally submit it to the U.S. Congress. The pact would go into effect after 90 days unless lawmakers vote to block it.

"I expect now that the president has signed it will go to Congress pretty quickly," said Danny Sebright, president of the U.S.-UAE Business Council, which is planning a big push for approval of the deal. "We look forward to engaging Congress and answering any of their questions. We believe the agreement is rock solid and will stand on its merits."

Obama's decision to approve the deal comes just weeks before he plans to visit Egypt to fulfill a campaign promise to deliver a major speech to the Muslim world.

The UAE, which was the world's third largest oil exporter in 2007, is planning to build a number of nuclear reactors to meet an expected need for an additional 40,000 megawatts of electricity by 2017.

U.S. nuclear reactor builders, GE and Westinghouse Electric Co, a subsidiary of Toshiba Corp , stand to get a big share of the expected $40 billion market if Congress allows the agreement to go forward.:0corn
