Yeah, I know what they are. I've been on a few cruises. Just not sure if it warrants an 'extra hundy.' They are cute though.

lol, I thought you'd like that :D

In all seriousness though, this is the last cruise I'll ever take. Royal Caribbean sucks. I don't like the boat rocking all the time and only being able to get off for a short while at the ports. We get that Wyndham time share bull shit (even though I'd never buy one), but it's pretty nice and they have locations all over. Last time I was in Vegas we had a PH suite with lots of plasmas and 3 BR's. Only 2 of them ever got used. I'll do a land vacation next time, this was more for family and family friends.

I'm an over-tipper. It really takes miserable service for me not to give 20%.

In general people in the service industry get treated like shit and don't get paid much. If they are nice and provide decent service I'll by default give 20%. I too will tip a little more on a smaller bill like lunch where 20% seems to be to little. If they really go above and beyond I will tip accordingly.

I can't stand to be around people who are tight wads. What are you saving those pennies for? Can't spend em when you're 6 feet under. Nothing is worse then going out with a couple who wants to break down the bill item by item to see who owes what. As long as there isn't a huge discrepancy life is much easier when you chuck two cards in and split it.

I think the recommended percentage is 18%, up from the old standard nice round number of 15%. I routinely tip between 20 and 25% but since they want to make it more difficult to calculate by making it 18%, fine ... I may try a new approach. When my bill comes, I'll ask the waiter/waitress how much 18% of my bill is. If he or she can figure out the correct tip mentally, I'll leave 25%. If not, they'll get 10%. In either case, I'll let them know why they got what they did.

Our head waiter acted like a snobby homosexual, and others were just plain rude.

I'm just curious, Jon, how does a snobby homosexual differ from a snobby heterosexual in performance of their duties?

Where is BDB when you really need him. Kneifl, turn in your man card immediately! Oh wait, we rejected your membership a long time ago, nm.

I mean who says that? Even Imfek would be ashamed.
