I'm about ready to campaign for Hillary. Just for the reaction on this site alone. True, we haven't had a woman president yet, but we're currently into year 7 of a bitch as president.

So, if Obama's stance on immigration is a big reason for not winning the Presidency, I guess the following are out, too:

John McCain:
# No more ballot initiatives against immigration. (Mar 1999)
# More help for legal immigrants when immigrating & once here. (Jul 1998)
# Voted YES on establishing a Guest Worker program. (May 2006)
# Voted YES on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security. (May 2006)
# Voted YES on giving Guest Workers a path to citizenship. (May 2006)
# Voted YES on allowing more foreign workers into the US for farm work. (Jul 1998)
# Voted YES on visas for skilled workers. (May 1998)

Jeb Bush (all that was listed...)
# Import farm workers from Mexico. (Sep 2001)

Rudy Giuliani:
Supports Senate guest worker plan & path to citizenship
Giuliani has been criticized for embracing illegal immigration. Giuliani continued a policy of preventing city employees from contacting INS about immigration violations. He ordered city attorneys to defend this policy in federal court. Giuliani has also expressed doubt that the federal government can stop illegal immigration. In April 2006, Giuliani went on the record as favoring the US Senate's comprehensive immigration plan which includes a path to citizenship and a guest worker plan
Source: wikipedia.org Nov 7, 2006

Newt Gingrich
Supports a guest worker program - no other comments noted.

Tommy Thompson
Signed the Midwestern Governors' Conference resolution to ease Canadian Border crossing rules.

And those seem to be your FAVORITES. Seems to me there is little to dissuade possible voters, so far.

Three question for AR and Dogs.

1. What was Bush's experience before you voted for him?

2. Didn't Bush also say he was not going to be involved in Nation Building?

3. How's that Iraq thing working out for ya?

The truth is that there is only one big issue today. Iraq. If we continue down the same course we will implode just like the Soviet Union did. We cannot afford to pour any more money in that Hell hole for no reason. Let the Iraqi's have their ciivil war without using our soldiers as targets.

The best thing we have going for us is Shock and Awe. That's about it and the terrorists know this. The longer they can keep us tied up in Iraq the stronger they get.

Now for something like 28 years we have had a Clinton or a Bush involved in the White House and I think it's time we got rid of both of them.

stevie...

although you didn't answer my question about obama, i'll still answer your question about bush.

i didn't vote for bush in 2000, i voted for gore. but in 2004 i did vote for bush because i liked his reaction to 9/11 & i didn't like kerry at all.

as i told you before a governor from a state has experienced in handling administrative duties & that's why a governor does well in the primaries & election.

i disagree with you about iraq being the only main issue in today's politics. iran is the big issue for the u.s. as they seem to be a big influence in what is happening in iraq.i also think the illegals sneaking into this country is also a problem.

i hope this answers your question to your satisfaction....& happy birthday you old bastard (lol).

Yes Iran is going to have more influence in Iraq then most anyone else. Stands to reason they share a 1800 mile border with Iraq. We of course are 9000 miles away. And much of Iraq is same as Iran nationality. But why we looked the other way. While weapon merchants sell Iran/Russian and even our military supplies on the open border and in some of there small towns. I do not understand. What are we doing tying to set it up to expand the war with excuse we could not stop this. If our military is not able to even to this in this screwed up country I would be very surprised. This is what our military is good at.

I think that has to do with the ability to run the country and nothing to do with winning elections.

I read this week one politician said ....

Do you want your kid picking tomatoes ?

All alive and live to play another day. Maybe we should have took the cowboy route as we now watch over 6000 americans dead on this clowns watch. Over 6000 dead or 444 alive now you tell me on which side would u rather be?

I guess that Tomato picking job would depend on how much you get paid.

.....................................................

SocialFunds.com -- A penny a pound. That's the increase in Florida tomato pickers' piece rate achieved yesterday in a landmark settlement between Yum! Brands (ticker: YUM) and the Coalition of Immokolee Workers (CIW), who agreed to call off their four-year boycott of Yum subsidiary Taco Bell restaurant. It may not sound like much, but it almost doubles the price paid by tomato farms for each 32-pound bucket harvested, from about 40 cents (a rate that has not changed significantly in over a quarter century) to at least 72 cents.
......................................................

lets see.....

figure a kid won't be staying at the Ritz-Carlton on this salary.

POSTED: 7:53 am PST February 10, 2007

UNDATED -- Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama's positions on a sampling of issues:

Abortion: Favors abortion rights. As Illinois lawmaker, opposed restrictions on public financing of abortions.

Global warming: Co-sponsored bill that would set mandatory caps on greenhouse gas emissions and raise energy costs. Plan would require emissions to return to 2004 levels by 2012 and to 1990 levels by 2020.

Health care: Wants universal coverage by 2012; details not specified.

Immigration: Voted to give illegal immigrants a route to citizenship after they pay fines and back taxes, learn English, satisfy a work requirement and pass a criminal background check. Voted for building a fence along Mexican border, and toughening requirements that citizens be given preference for jobs over guest workers.

Iran: Proposed regional conference that includes Iran, Syria and other neighbors, aimed at stabilizing Iraq. In 2004 Senate campaign, held out possibility of military action against Iran if sanctions designed to stop its nuclear program did not work.

Iraq: Supports capping troop levels at 130,000, beginning withdrawal May 1 and completing pullout of combat brigades by March 31, 2008.

Stem cell research: Supports relaxing restrictions on federal financing of embryonic stem cell research.

Bush had 6 years of complete control of the House and Senate. What did he do about the boarder?

All this effort-99.4% very intelligent-However, there are a few constants:
A - There will be no Woman President in 2008.
B - There will be no Black President in 2008.
C - There will be no Dyke President in 2008.
D - There will be no Homosexual President in 2008.
E-Z There WILL be a WHITE-ANGLO-SAXON MALE President in 2008. Take it to the bank.
