They have failed to cover twice in BCS games, and one was a game in which their most explosive player was knocked out of the game on the opening kickoff. The other "blowout" was by a whopping 14 points against a loaded LSU team, which likely would have been undefeated and a big favorite if not for several significant injuries in the regular season.
Losing Ted Ginn had very little to do with the end result in the game against Florida. Florida dominated Ohio State in the trenches on both sides of the ball with nowhere near the same talent level at the skill position. You have a little bit of a case about LSU and OSU, but no matter whom OSU plays they have just as much if not more talent! Yeah they took a Texas team to the final gun, but that Horns team came into the game flat thinking that should of been in the title game. Im not a big fan of Tressels ball, he waste tons of talent trying to play field position and clock management. With the amount of talent that he has had come through Columbus during his reign, he should be a near automatic 11 or 12 game winner each year especially playing in a weak conference as the Big 10. With his handling of Pryor, I would be surprised if he is able to recruit a top 5 QB in the future, as Pryor stated he was going to OSU to learn how to become an NFL QB, and with his development so far, the only playing he will do in the NFL is as a WR or Wildcat QB.
