Played football against Maurice Green (one time fastest guy in the world). We shutout his team, but we still lost our 1st round in the playoffs to the eventual state champions.

Played baseball against Kevin Young, hit a 425 foot homer in the first inning knocking our team from the state playoffs after a 21-0 season... painful memory.

My high school played basketball against Anthony Peeler, his team sucked so we beat them, but he was awesome!

Best athletes I played against were Robbie Allen (kid was the next Barry Sanders until he got arrested at 18... sad ending to a great athlete).

Also, played basketball against a kid named Miti Phillips who had the triple jump best for the US @ 52 feet in high school. Kid could dunk flat footed in 8th grade despite being 5'-8"

Was on the same wrestling team as Zack Abron ( former Mizzou and NFL running back) and I had the pleasure of watching him DESTORY WWE wrestler Randy Orton at the State Wrestling Tournament in 98.

I told a gal years ago I was the field goal kicker for the SL Cards....with a kiss on my pecker, I told her I give her a 'tug' on my face mask when I'd kick a PAT for her.

Met Eric Wedge @ Wichita State after the CWS in a bar I managed. Kemnitz (pitchin' coach) was a frequent flyer.

Wedge came back like he promised to sign his rookie cards and a 8 x10....last card to sign, I asked...'sign it my bat is bigger than my unit!' :mj07: he laughed.....and damnit, he didn't do it! Still have the cards and the 8 x10 rookie for BoSox

Just remembered the 'other guy' playing shuffle board after hours....Mike Lansing. First guy to hit a HR (Toronto) out of the Rockies, then as a Rockie, 1st player to hit one out of the BOB in AZ, ....That should be in the books for sometime!

Played college football with/against

Bo Jackson
Emmitt Smith
Brett Favre
Mike Gundy
Hartlee Dykes
Brian Mitchell
Thurman Thomas
Barry Sanders

Played against Eric Andolsek in high school who later played for LSU and the Detroit Lions. What a tragic death for the guy mowing his parent's front yard and getting run over by a truck that ran off the road.

Being an MC in a titty bar in Orlando for quite a few years gave me opportunity to meet quite a few athletes. Including Scotty "No Tippin'" Pippen.

First off the list of pleasurable good guys:

Cecil Fielder
Fred McGriff
Frank Thomas
Horace Grant
Luis Gonzalez ( one of the nicest guys I ever met)

Two of the biggest dicks that ever came into the club were:

Mike Hampton
Brett Favre

The most fun was Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams.

He was out of baseball a year or two and was trying to make a comeback with the Royals who at that time were still holding spring training camp in Haines City.

I was working the afternoon shift that spring and he walked in by himself one afternoon and I saw him as I was walking to the restroom. I stopped for a moment to do a double take and he looked at me like, "Please don't bother me."........I continued into the restroom. After he had a couple of beers I went over to him and introduced myself and told him not to get too weirded out, since I was the only one in the club that had any idea who he was. We chatted for a couple of minutes and then I had to head back to my booth to announce the next hooker........When I turned around he was standing in my booth with a big grin on his face and said, "Show me how this shit works." He was holding to beers, but one wasn't for drinking, it was his spit bottle. He always had a big rub in while he was drinking. I also got kick out of the fact that he was doing those Miller Lite commercials at that time and all he would drink was Bud.
He ended up coming in 4 or 5 times a week everyday after practice and hanging out in my booth. He was very down to earth and always talked about how much better an athlete his brother was than him. He was just a good ole boy and said it didn't really matter if he didn't make the team because he had a big ole ranch in Texas and that's where he was heading.
The most excited I saw him get was when he brought his buddy into meet me one day. He was some big rodeo guy, but I had no idea who he was.
He did eventually get cut and then my days became a bit longer without somebody there to bullshit with all afternoon.

Played against Thomas Jones J-E-T-S RB (Powell Valley high school) I played for (Pound high school) and was a strong safety...needless to say over 200 yards and 4 TD later i was amazed at the speed, i had 3 tackles on him but the rest he would just blow right by me kurby

Also watching his brother Julius Jones play a few years later was awesome also !! Having 2 great football players come just 15 miles from my school was crazy.....We live in REALLY small towns so it is good to see some local boys do good in the NFL

Ohio but not a Buckeye
Hmm....I actually know Bob Knight, does he count? He's everything you see on TV by the way...but very loyal and giving to his friends. Another friend of ours used to go to Hawaii for the Maui tournament with him very year. Sometimes they go up to their cabin in Wyoming or one of those states over there up North.
