thanks guys...

play #22....

under 52 ohio st / texas......

the osu offense has been mediocre this year as they are ranked 37th in the country in rushing yards...& as a team, they run for about 191.6 ypg on the ground & have scored 20 rushing tds......they are ranked 68th in the country in passing yards per attempt....their qb is freshman, pryor took over the starting job after just a couple of games & for the year he has completed 95-of-152, 1,245 yards, 12 tds,& 4 ints.... he has rushed for 553 yards & six tds....but make no mistake if osu can't run, they can't win....

the texas defense ranks 2nd in the country against the run, allowing 73.6 ypg...they also lead the nation in sacks & held 7 opponents to 14 points or less....& have held every opponent under its season average in total yardage.....& considering the explosive offenses in the big 12 this year, that is pretty impressive.....

we know that the texas offense is lead by a truly great qb....colt mccoy finished the 2008 regular season with 32 td passes against only 7 ints, & he threw for 3,445 yards while completing an incredible 77.6 percent of his passes.....& ut averages about 140 rushing yards per game on the ground at about 3.9 ypc.....

only usc produced more than 3 tds against the osu defense, which is led by maybe the best corner in the nation, jenkins & award winning lb laurinatis.....

after being embarrassed in the last 2 bowl games i think osu will do everything that they can to not get into a track meet with texas.....

there are about an equal amount of trends favoring the under with the over....

a system....

play under - neutral field teams where the total is between 49.5 and 56 (both teams apply to this system) - a top-level team (>=80%) playing a team with a winning record, in a non-conference game between 2 teams from major division 1-a conferences.

since 1992 the record is......45-17......72.6%

over the last 3 seasons the situation's record is.....6-0

the average total posted in these games was.....52.9

the average score in these games was....team 25.2, opponent 24.9 (total points scored = 50.1)

good luck

going to push my luck...

play #23.....

under 37.5 1st half ball st / tulsa.....

it seems to me that after a month off, it takes time for teams to adjust to game action in the bowls...& that the teams use the 1st half as a feeling out process.....in addition i think bsu my be feeling sorry for themselves at the start of this game.....because in the last game before the break, they were upset from an undefeated season & now they lost their coach....so i would think that they would start slow in the beginning of the game...in addition it may be raining & windy during the game...

numerically if you look at the 1st half road numbers of these 2 teams you get....

ball st averages 13.1 ppg on offense & allows an average of 8.6 ppg on defense...adding those numbers you get....21.7.....

tulsa averages 22.3 ppg on offense & allows an average of 22.5 ppg on defense...adding those numbers you get......44.8...

adding...21.7 & 44.8 & dividing by 2.....you get...33.2....

so according to my calculations the 1st half total should be 33.2....there is a 4.2 point gap between my number & what is being offered at 37.5 (some books in vegas have the 1st half total at 36.5)....not much but i'll play it for a regular play.....

a system...

play under - any team vs the the 1st half total (both teams apply to this system) - after a game where they committed 4 or more turnovers against opponent after a game where they committed 5 or more turnovers.

since 1992 the ats record is........48-19......71.6%

the average 1st half total posted in these games was....26.8

the average 1st half score in these games was....team 11.6, opponent 11.4(total first half points scored = 23)

good luck
