Guys with small cocks need guns to make up for there insecurities.
Believe me I am all for self defense, just knowing someone who went through the heroics of defending his home and family and by shooting the asshat had to then go through the courts to prove self defense.
Anyway Boys, spend the money on some new knives for the chef and you"ll be happier!!:00hour
DALLAS (Reuters) - Criminals in Texas beware: if you threaten someone in their car or office, the citizens of this state where guns are ubiquitous have the right to shoot you dead.
Governor Rick Perry's office said on Tuesday that he had signed a new law that expands Texans' existing right to use deadly force to defend themselves "without retreat" in their homes, cars and workplaces.
"The right to defend oneself from an imminent act of harm should not only be clearly defined in Texas law, but is intuitive to human nature," Perry said on his Web site.
The new law, which takes affect on September 1, extends an exception to a statute that required a person to retreat in the face of a criminal attack. The exception was in the case of an intruder unlawfully entering a person's home.
The law extends a person's right to stand their ground beyond the home to vehicles and workplaces, allowing the reasonable use of deadly force, the governor's office said.
The reasonable use of lethal force will be allowed if an intruder is:
- Committing certain violent crimes, such as murder or sexual assault, or is attempting to commit such crimes
- Unlawfully trying to enter a protected place
- Unlawfully trying to remove a person from a protected place.
The law also provides civil immunity for a person who lawfully slays an intruder or attacker in such situations.

Yes they are illegal in many states. But I guess I would rather fight a illegal weapon and assault charge for causing a few broken bones than a murder 2/manslaughter charge for capping him. Even though it is home invasion they still will put you throuhg the ringer to make you prove it is in self defense. Case in point.
Some states have the castle doctrine...
Most have made it where you must be in your last resort
Both my wife and I have that exact gun we both carry in our vehicles. Take them to the range once a month and keep in practice. No problems. Good average priced gun. Also have a Taurus 38 revolver I keep in the house. My wife has a S & W ladysmith she keeps inside. I suggest you do not invade our space with intent to harm whether it be home or vehicle. We both have concealed weapons license.

FDC,
That did help. Thank you.
1%er I wasn't trying to discourage the purchase of an ASP.. Its a great weapon. I just wanted to make sure you knew it was illegal to carry. :thumb:
Absolutely 1%, that is a good call.
See everyone what 1% posted, can also be classified as a "visual aide". While "visual aides" are not as helpful doing housework, they can be very beneficial in other ways, such as clothing design and targets of ridicule.
Hope this helps,

Can't believe the gun debate continues--
Use a little common sense-
If someone is confronted with possibilty of themselves/family being assualted or killed--do you think they will be glad they can't protect them--or glad they can.
How many of those violent crimes took place in the suburbs?
I'm not planning on living in the inner city. Statistics can be used to skew anything.
I don't have an issue with people owning guns in their homes. I just have an issue with someone telling me I lack common sense for my decision not to have one.
Didn't say you lacked common sense for not owning one--
