I will say that Im about 10x as likely to wear one as a passenger than a driver, depending on who is behind the wheel.

In full disclosure, probably about 1/2 the time if a woman is driving. Not saying that all women are bad drivers, but Ive never hydroplaned a 1080 into an oncoming school bus when I was at the helm.

I've never understood why people don't wear one. It takes all of 5 seconds to do and undo.

lazy or just stupid

or maybe they just like the warning sound :142smilie

I do now that I have kids, however I think having a LAW to make one wear a seatbelt is fucking redick.

I mean a guy riding a motorcycle can cruise around without a helmet, but me in a 6000 pound SUV has to wear a seatbelt or I get a ticket. HOLY SHIT!!! REALLY!!!

When I first graduated law school I wanted to get a ticket for a seat belt violation, so I could fight it, I think it is very unconstitutional that I have to protect myself. Man, those insurance lobbyiests are good, all lobbyiests for that matter. We have to wear seat belts, but the food and sugar industry continue to get away with making SHIT food for our kids and its actually promoted. (My inner AGENT working there for a second).

In fact my life insurance policy has a reducer amount if I die and it is established I didnt have my seat belt on. Its all about money for the insurance companies, ugh this subject pisses me off, and its just a simple task, but its the principle.

I may start something like the NRA for Non-Seat Belt people. NSBP is about our FREEDOM and BILL of RIGHTS.

I've been pulled over for speeding probably 10 times the last 10 years and because I'm always polite to the officer :0008

they always give me the seat belt violation instead of the speeding ticket.

Since I'm so polite and such a nice guy to them, they have an excuse to give me the lessor violation and still feel good that they did their job. :0074
