not doubting you .... I am a big time foodie and I travel all over the US ... I usually do not go to steak places because I am a pretty good cook myself so I like going to the best restaurants for things I cannot make at home :0074

if I did not like to eat and drink so much ... I would have over 6 more figures in the bank :0074

I have NEVER had any conscious of money when I go out as I love to eat and drink the best ... one of the reasons that I do not have much :mj07:

I like to buy a PRIME steak with the fixings and have some good beers before eating and then a good bottle of wine while entertaining at home

when eating out, I like to go to the best LOCAL restaurants for things I do not cook at home

I love trying the local craft beers and eating the best local establishments to support their economy

The Keg is a good chain steakhouse, have ate there several times in LoDo Denver. However, if you are in Denver and you want a Steak and want something you can only get in Denver, not a chain you need to go to The BuckHorn Exchange. From Cow to Buffalo to Elk to Rattlesnake it is a special place. Hell, they may even have some of that whale on special some nights. Plus, it will be less expensive then the Keg.

Kick, I have a Keg right around the corner from me and we consider it an average steak house. It's a place with go if we just want to grab a descent steak at a low cost. I would never say it was a really really good steak though.

Not be be a prick, but a little unfair to compare a chain restaurant to a "local" restaurant.

As far as chain restaurants go, I don't think you can beat the Keg.

Just my two cents.

On my visits to Winnipeg.....The Keg is ALWAYS a stop I make. That place really knows what they are doing with everything. I've had a lot of good steak in my day....but The Keg's is always great. They have a killer calamari appetizer too......oh, and they know how to make a kick ass bloody mary....which I always get!!!
