He could certainly have asked but she is not nor was not legally bound to comply. She could have yelled at the top of her lungs, cursed, and/or questioned him for his badge number but you cannot forcibly tell someone to leave a public area just because you're an officer. Contrary to popular belief, cursing a cop is not assault either.
He had no right to detain anyone. There was no crime being committed, no active investigation, nothing like that.
An officer cannot tell you to shut up either, if he is questioning you during an official investigation he can ask you to be quiet to be polite but nothing that Casebolt was within the law or code of ethics.

You have got to be freaking kidding me. A cop ask me to do something I am doing it or I expect consequences. The kids have no respect for authority. Bottom line. If there was a racial bias that is another issue that should and has been discussed. Can not believe you as all people have a disrespect for authority being in the military and a sniper as you have said.
