Ok so explain how it works. I sign up for MJ and then beted.com through a click through here. Do you get paid $250 per person. What if I lose 10k a month there. You dont see a penny ?
this isn't about this business but to answer your question; all advertisers here pay a yearly fee, some 6 months at a time, to be listed here. just like a business would run a newspaper ad.

Well, I might have to soon.

I bought a pool service in AZ 12-13 years ago from a fraud. You have to start that type of service business, pool, lawn, snow shoveling kurby

Above the Clouds....
for instance....and i don't really like the job but i know a guy that retired and started mowing lawns for extra income. not he has over 200 at $50 a pop average and is making a nice score.

$50 (per lawn) x 4 (times a month each, minimum) x 200 (customers) = $40K a month gross.

what's that? bad?

Chiropracter told me he has a patient that worked 35yrs for GE and retired..got bored and started a lawn business. The reason his back was out was because his wallet was so thick. GE guy said if he knew there was that much cash in lawns he would have done it years ago. True story!!

Son told me he will set me up with 20 customers the 1st week we move to Augusta. Just waiting for the housing market to rebound!!

One thing that I have been working with the CLC in ATL is open loop team sponsored gift cards backed by a major network.

I own dozens of ncaa collegiate gift card domains that feed into a pay per click to each university. Not breaking the bank on this but nice return...

I had a domain that was the name of a major American Idol winner a couple years ago as he and I were close friends in B'ham at one time. Relationship soured and sold it to Sony BMG...

A lot of money to be made on Apple Iphone apps right now... ALOT of $$$...

I have wanted to find a way to buy and operate multiple properties with several others to help spread the work and the risk. Now is such a great time to accumulate properties and build a portfolio. I already own two rentals, but it is such a hassle trying to do everything as a one man show.

I had an idea around 15 years ago and last month saw one in Dayton, OH that blew my mind but this one was not to the extent that I had envisioned.

Build a driving range that was nothing but a lake and nothing but island greens to hit your shots at. You would buy a flood plane for cheap land, dig out a hole, fill the hole with beviled concrete and a pump to regenerate all the balls that land in the water. Highest cost of driving ranges is lost balls and you never have this cost because they are always being pumped back and instantly clean. Build island greens at 100, 150, 200 yards and have a landing area at 250-300 yards with a net for the long ball hitters to fly at.

Also, have a two story club house that you could sell the range balls along with equipment. balls, gloves, shoes etc Upstairs have a grill with decent bar foods, beer and a balcony so folks could sit outside and watch the peeps hitting balls. Of course there would be lots of cheering/razzing encouraged.

Biggest cost would be the concrete {anyone know where to get a deal on that}, and then the pump system, land would not be high because it would be flood plane. Anyone that goes to the range always hit at flags or greens...wouldnt it be a lot more fun to try and hit into water and land on island greens:shrug:

I think it could be a huge draw in the right area

If it's lawn services you guys are after then there's plenty of return. All it takes is word of mouth, a dependable crew, and the hardware and youre pulling in good money.

Security systems is another good business venture that I missed out on some time ago that I'm still kicking myself about. The guy is doing very well in lower Alabama and it wouldn't have been more than 10k investment at the time.

I like this thread...

Jack you mention cut grass. A fellow from by old company did samething when he lost his job. He took it a few steps more. In winter he shovel there walks. Not himself a firm he hired to do it and took his cut. THen in summer he went another step. He went to the scotts lawn care fert guy. Start signing some of his grass cutting customers up for scotts fert. Again he does nothing just gets his $10 cut everytime that guys puts fert on one his customer lawns. In most case that is 6 trips a year $60 per custmer. He told be last week 86 of his customers have sign up. So he took cutting lawns two more steps that he just takes in cash. By the way for those think this is not a big deal. Well he,s in his 4th year. Start with one customer. Now on his way to 225 with just over 215. Has hired a full time guy and part timer. He said next thing he wants to do is. When he see a customer who needs a new roof. Or is ask for help with one. He,s going to work on getting quotes from the two he will recommend to give
a small % to him for his help. He said siding to. But waited to do this last becasue it,s real cut throt.
Had to update numbers I just called him. He got another thing started now. Window washing.Said it,s moving fast. Will have to hire part timer to do that. His wife told him hell no. Asked me if I want te job 10 bucks a hour. If no latter work maybe.
This always was smart.

Very nice Dunclock. The issue would be geography. Cheap enough land that you aren't in say Nashille paying premium, but close enough to the city that people will drive the 15 minutes... Birmingham would be great for that set up...
