I like these machines a lot, but here in NY they only have the interblock kind of craps with sic bo. These organic interblock machines are so bogus, you don't get to hit the red button to pop up the dice, its all automatically run.

Yeah, the one I played you hit a button when you're ready and they bounce all around in there. Seems legit. It wouldn't let me bet as much as I wanted at times but like I said.....fun social game.

I haven't updated for a while now, so here goes. We have been working a lot in attempts to get our bills paid for the month in dec/jan we aren't working and to pay for our mission trip to Haiti. It costs 2k a piece, so it's a lot of money. Patient-wise, I have been fortunate to have some pretty good shifts without much stress. I will write about one patient. 31 years old, no medical history except HIV (untreated because he is lazy) which of course is no longer a death sentence, social history includes marijuana, alcohol, and cocaine use, and he's in the hospital bc he wrecked his scooter. Riding a scooter in this town is more dangerous than having untreated HiV, but I digress.

This guy was on my everlasting nerves so, so bad. He has a substantial wound to his leg, and for that he is prescribed Dilaudid 2mg every 3 hours as needed. This of course means we are giving it to him 8 times a day bc he constantly calls for it. "Can I get my "die-lod-in and three ice creams and a coke?" I can't stand this guy. Everything about him makes me tilt. One time he was on he phone with his SO who apparently was on the scooter with him and also in the hospital. As I'm bringing him his Dilaudid shot, I hear him say, "hold on honey; they bringing me my die-lod-in, and ima 'bout ready to get fucked up". Yeah, he's really hurting bad; talking on the phone, eating the hospital out of food, and laughing so hard at the television that you can hear him at the nurses station. What a knuckle-head.

I played a tournament at the Mirage last Tuesday. It has a poor structure, and the house takes too much money, but the entry fee is $65. I got lucky once when my A5 outran pocket 8s, and I ended up chopping first place with another guy. $500 winner. I played some BJ, and I think I have my strategy down now. That doesn't mean I will always win, but I think it's best to optimize my $$ when and if I ever have a hot run.

I now have my Diamond card thanks to some help from my friends

I already used it at the poker room to get on top of the list
e36617b476d32772c68c83c648e74d08.jpg
and I noticed I get more yessirs now when I show and use it haha!

I lost at poker yesterday, and I ran deep in a tourney but could not cash. I did win nominally at BJ. The Marathon was yesterday, so I watched that some and wished I could be out there.

B and I went to Red Rock Canyon last Wednesday. It is beautiful, and we had a great yet exhausting time doing the trail to the La Madre Spring which is an old and long time known natural spring way up in the mountains. It runs yearlong, and has been used by people and animals for many years. Here are some pictures. The last was made by a wild Burro and the second to last also has a wild animal in it (mountain goat).

Las Vegas is getting colder, and the runners were all freezing last night. It seems much colder to me this year. Sakana tonight, and this is apartment cleaning day.

Sakana Sushi, all you can eat (AYCE)

Sakana Sushi, all you can eat (AYCE)

Thanks for the tip.....

Arrived in Vegas Monday, talk about windy and chilly.

My family had a taste for good sushi so I suggested Sakana, (it is just off of Flamingo and Maryland Parkway, abt 10 minutes from Bally's)

The lunch all you can eat was $20.95 and your offered your choice of freshly prepared items off a VERY extensive menu.

Our hungry party of 4 ate for the better part of a hour, non-stop.

The quality was VERY good...meat portions are much larger than most sushi bars I have tried, and much more tastier.

As long as everyone in your party is ordering AYCE, you can share.

We had everything from Appetizers, Bulgogi (thin strips of marinated sirloin cooked on a dome griddle, we had 4 portions it was so good) to Yellow Fin Nigiri.

Can't remember all we shared, SO many items to choose from, my favorite was the lobster rolls and White Tuna Nigiri.

All are freshly prepared and extremely tasty, much better than
your typical sushi bar.

We topped it off with dessert....I had Plum Ice Cream, which really
finished the extreme eating event with a flourish.

At $21 per person, the four of us polished off about $300 individual menu price of top quality product.

Tonight at the hospital:

I had an admission roll in around 8pm. His diagnosis is scrotal edema. The guy has a hydrocele, or you might have heard it called water balls. He's nice enough, but I soon found out his elevator doesn't go to the top floor.

He is a terribly uncontrolled Diabetic, he has severe lower leg edema and stasis ulcers that are draining, he has some sort of terrible anxiety disorder coupled with the feeling he needs to be constantly in control of everything, and he has severe non-treated obstructive sleep apnea.

He has a catheter to keep track of his urine output. He is abnormally obsessed with his catheter and afraid it will tug on his penis. I assured him it wouldnt, but he likes to hold the tubing all the time. His IV was out, and he kept trying to tell me where to put the new one after he ranted for 10 minutes about the nurse who let it go bad in the ER. I finally told him to quit talking about it and let me put in a new one. I figured out really fast I have to treat him almost as a child with that authority and not let him make choices. He is monopolizing my time and getting on my nerves.

I noticed when he sleeps that he has substantial sleep apnea. I asked him to wear O2, but he will not. He fell asleep, became hypoxic, woke up confused, and he tried to yank out his catheter. That of course didn't do anything but cause him pain, so I had to go thru a whole teaching process with him again where he didn't listen.

He is constantly calling and wanting juice and food even though his blood sugar is 420. He will not listen, and at this point, I don't really care. He also can't stand clothes or a hospital gown, so he's buck naked in the bed with his water balls and micro-phallus hanging out

This guy is a nervous wreck. I told him I could not baby sit him, and he would have to straighten up. I just know he's a complete pain, and I'm going to have him back Thursday night too.

I have one Heroin skin popper and two vodka drinkers (a 1/5th every other day. Miraculously, all three of them are easy which leaves this dude to monopolize my time. I sure hope he calms down.

I'm freaking exhausted now, and I want to do nothing but crawl in my bed. I can't get too upset with the poor care people in his condition face bc then I would go crazy. The hospital is a revolving door.

sorry I've been out of the loop for a while as I've had a rough couple months dealing with my daughter, losing my last Greek Aunt, and the brutal fact I've been sick with some virus I feel I caught on a plane ride back home from the East coast on my trip to pay my respects to my Aunt....

I'm hoping we can all catch up for some holiday cheer and possibly make some epic story worthy of telling....

Bring on the Holidaze in Vegas....and please turn up that thermometer....
