Sandusky should be castrated and hung for what he did, I just read the indictment, holy fuck, this guy is an animal that needs to be put down. Why all the cover up, why did nobody go to the police with this information? wtf...

After reading the grand jury report, here is what I can not get out of my head:

The 10 year old boy is bent over, hands on the wall, as the animal is doing this thing to him. The grad assistant walks in and sees them. The report indicated that the animal and the kids turn and see him. I think it is reasonable to assume that the kid had a look of fear, was crying, in pain, something. I am sure the kid did not give him a wink and smile. I can only imagine that the kids is thinking "Thank God someone is here to stop this animal." Yet the GA walks away and calls his father.

Where have we gone wrong as a society that a 27 adult man could walk away from a helpless child in that situation. How do you sleep at night knowing that you left that animal to finish his dirty deed while you called Daddy to ask him what to do.

Regarding Paterno, his conduct was equally reprehensible. When the GA comes to his house and explains what he saw, Paterno does not ask questions until he is exactly sure what the GA saw. Of course he does. Any reasonable person does. Besdies, all Paterno had to hear was that the GA saw a 57 year old man taking a shower with a 10 year old boy to know that some was not right, seeing that this was taking place in HIS football facility. As soon as 'sexual activity" was mentioned, any reasonable person knows that a crime was committed. To think that it was possible that that kid could have been abused again after that by that animal when it could have been put to an end with one phone call, is sicking beyond belief. Paterno deserves to have his legacy rewritten. Anyone who feels sorry for Paterno should have their head examined.

I know that the players do not deserve it but I think that PSU trustees should shut down the football program for the remainder of the year.

I read the indictment tonight  why the cover up though? a child molesterer that started a non profit organization in 1977 to be able to do this to underpriviledged boys, what a piece of shit, he should be hung with no jury trial...

I have a 9yo son. I hugged him and told him I loved him today. The thought of someone doing this to him angers me to the point of tears. And the thought that someone could have stopped it enrages me further. Right or wrong.......I would be taking justice into my own hands.

This might go down as the biggest story in sports history. Only thing that can save Penn State is if Dungy steps in to coach. Kinda like Vick going to Philly.

the 1998 incident was reported and police hid in the basement to listen while the mother of a child that was molested confronted Sandusky and heard Sandusky confess, ask for forgiveness, and wish he was dead. this case was taken to the DA (so clearly Joe Pa knew about it since Sandusky was still coaching) but it ended when the District Attorney went missing and ultimately found dead with his laptop completely cleaned out.

This is not accurate. The '98 incident ended after the DA decided to not proceed with prosecution. The DA went missing in '05, the case was not active at that time.

Sandusky is a big man, he played football at Penn State and was a coach for 30 plus years. The graduate asst that saw this should have gone after him with a bat or something he could swing to hurt the guy. this animal has been getting away with it for a long time, what a piece of shit, plus I am sure he intimidated him the next time he saw him and told him if he told anyone he would make sure he was hurt really bad or killed

All players should be released from scholarship and that program should be shut down for more than the rest of the year.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
PSU handling worst nightmare in worst way
Link: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/11313/1188482-150.stm

"Going six days deep now into just about the worst thing that could happen, and still Penn State sinks hour by desperate hour into its own public stupor.

The university long has recoiled nearly instinctively at the approach of the media, and that was under optimally sunny circumstances, when the most unflattering "news" reportable was the perfectly benign and only occasional three-game losing streak . . .

So do not be surprised that Penn State has no more idea of how to handle a public relations disaster than it does an eyewitness account of a sexual assault on a child in the shower at its football facility . . .

"Nearly all men can stand adversity," said Abraham Lincoln. "But, if you want to test a man's character, give him power."

And so these are the final hours of nearly a half-century of unbridled power.

The images continue to be nightmarish. An 84-year-old man crying out his window to a mob of students as he returns from football practice?

I would tell you that Penn State could not possibly have handled this any worse, but it's only Wednesday."
