Paterno should be forced out immediately. And no he shouldn't be extended the courtesy to coach one more game at home this Saturday. His actions, or lack thereof, have negated any such courtesy. I don't care how long he has been there or what type of 'legend' he is. His status is permanently changed in my mind.

I'm assuming you mean the missing DA, who was a guy. Who knows. Beside the guys car and laptop, they couldn't find anything about the guy after his disappearance.

Been listening to this all day on the radio, just gets more disgusting by the minute. These poor kids that have been abused are paying a heavy price from this, some may be repeating the cycle.......Penn St needs to set up a program to help the victims. If Joe is allowed to coach this weekend I would hope some would make a statement and not play!

The whole program also needs to be shut down and the players allowed to transfer.....Clean house top to bottom!

Having grown up playing a sport through college, and staying on to coach for a few years, and working numerous basketball camps, there is no doubt in my mind knowing who I am physically/mentally to not go beat the shit out of someone or at the very least stop the act. Morally it is ur duty to stop it and/or protect these kids, not just be like carry on and go to Joe and see it covered up, regardless of whether you are scared or trying to protect a future coaching career. That is a whole another issue to me. Not sure how McQuerry lives with himself everyday either. He knows what he saw.

I am sure you have seen your share of sick stuff, but in my opinion this is by far the worst of the worst.

there is so much wrong with this, and it has literally affected my life last couple days just hearing about it nevermind living it. I really think this is a microcosm of our society today, it's not the same world I grew up in or my parents grew up in. Undeniably there is a moral decay now. Evidently there was a older man, Vietnam veteran, that was a janitor that witnessed another assault in a hallway after hours. I read somewhere he was physically ill almost having a heart attack, but was told by his superiors to not say anything.

I don't understand how anyone could defend any of this. In my mind anyone who saw or even heard anything is culpable and should pay monumentally.

you mean he should be executed, I have no problem saying that. The man should pay the ultimate price for this. In my eyes nothing is worse than a calculated predator, who searches and preys on the innocent, disadvantaged, defenseless. This is exactly like the Catholic Church scandal. A man with power influence and the means, who sets out and calculating preys on young, (usually parentless, or fatherless children) who are looking for a father figure in their life. This scumbag adopting six boys, and setting up home and program for troubled/homeless kids. Essentially setting up his own stock pond if you will for abuse and taking advantage of unsuspecting children.

The motive is certainly there. I've had a growing dislike for Div 1 football, and this adds to it even more. It's basically a corrupt system to begin with. Athletic departments and coaches have all the money and power - the players and 'aspiring' players have nothing.

It's obvious here that Paterno's obsession with wealth and legacy compromised his ethics. How many other top programs/coaches would have similar lack of response for fear of losing money and power? Maybe not all of them, but certainly more than just this one.

Kill Sanduskey, jail Paterno, and give all of PSU's athletic dept. money to those families. Feel bad for current PSU players - kinda kills any motive to put on that uniform ever again.

One of my former teammates was the tennis coach at PSU for 4 years. He left in August.

Ummmm........needless to say he is glad he left:scared


I played PSU many times, many of my matches were at PSU. The tennis coach at the time is now the Assistant Athletic director. He was a an old school disciplinarian who always played by the rules. I wonder if he knew what was up with Sandusky? I just can't see him keeping his mouth shut if he knew. But it sounds like many of the "higher ups" knew what was up. Disgusting.

The NCAA will grant any athlete at PSU a transfer. I already know of one athlete that says they will leave PSU. I am sure the NCAA will grant a "free transfer" to any athlete at PSU. Would suck to be on any team at PSU now, tarnished forever.

As for the football team, they shouldn't play another game this season.
