Pitt will likely lack focus and is entering a snake pit this weekend IMO. Expecting kolb to look more comfortable and for increased chemistry between he and fitz. I like the additional prep for a motivated team with their collective back against the wall. The line drop pleases me. No brainer from where I'm standing.

Quality thread guys.

Agreed big time!

Here is a great article to read talking about what happened with the players and coaches after the blowout loss in Minny.

More and more I think the players right the ship. Gotta love what Wisenhunt did after that loss!! Must read.

Great Article. This sould normally be a no play for me. I have to feel Arizona is live though. Troy P is going toplay but should be whoozy. If Kolb can connect with Larry fitz. BEanie wells should be able to run against the steelers. I think you are definitely on the right side

i think you guys are overrating kolb, thought this line was low but apparently people are willing to throw money on this cardinals team

No this is just a game that most will be on Pittsburgh. Their run game has been bad and it is not a signature Pitt defense so far. Arizona has had a week to rest up and get the offense going. Steelers could easily overlook them with two tough conference games looming. The best team does not always win. Look at Seattle/Giants two weeks ago.

Good luck

Taking a look at their respective schedules, the Cards lost on the road to Seattle and Washington, both tough places to play by a combined 4 pts. Yes, they were pounded by Minny. They beat Carolina at home and got hosed by a horrible call in the NYG game in AZ. By all accounts when you listen to league officials, the NFL messed up on that NYG game. For some reason this Cards team plays up 5 notches at home, not just up a notch at home.

Steelers got pounded by Balt. then in their home opener took our their frustrations on Seattle. But beating the Titans and Jags is nothing to write home about. They lost on the road twice already, I could see that being 3 losses in a row on the road by Sunday evening. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for discussing the game in this thread. GL

interesting enough to say the least...but every time i see Cards game i tend to feel sleepy or simply snooze, while steelers games make me sweat and feel real pressure ... you may say this is irrelevant or plain lame, but i think Steelers will definitevely compete and may take this one ....i will stay away as i truly respect the involved people's capping abilities and if no consensus have been made, it's best to leave untouched BOL to y'all:toast:

I think the only reason NOT to take the Steelers is because it seems too easy. The line is about right, if they were home they would be -10 at least, maybe more. They were -12 vs JAX.

I think the reasons not to take Pitt is because the Pitt d is aging an overrated, the best player(maybe in the league) is off of a head injury, the ol seems to have regressed and they face an undervalued and cornered foe coached by a scorned former member of the steeler family. Plus, kolb gets an extra week. This is clutch since he missed prep time in the offseason for obvious reasons. Zona should continue to improve going forward.

I agree. Line is about right. If you take 3 for home field advantage, they are saying that Pitt is 7 points better than AZ. This would be -10 at home and -4 on the road.

that being said, I am heavily in the "pitt is overrated" camp. They are beat up, older, and slower and I think they have lost their close game magic tht has carried them for the past few years. I don't think Arizona is as bad as they have shown at time. Wisenhunt has them ready. I think Zona wins this outright.

Just seems so obvious that there is no reason to pick the cardinals against the All Mighty Pittsburgh Steelers and over the yrs Ive seen some real "funny" things happen whereas the Steelers are concerned.

Im staying away from it:nono:

Total of Game?

Total of Game?

Another factor may come from the Cardinal Head Coach who is an old Steeler? I am too a Steelers fan and just do not feel comfortable with this line?

I do think this game will be similar to the Cardinal -vs- Cam Newton game earlier in the season and I am going to jump on the over!!

The Steelers are getting all kinds of crap about how they shut things down in the second half of the Jax. game. Think they come out guns a blazing with the 4 wide receiver sets. And with an old, yet still aggressive "D". for Pitt, I think Cards will also make some big plays?

Almost sounds to easy? Good Luck Fellows,

G.J :0003

Here is a list of the former Steeler Coaches who are now coaches for the Arizona Cardinals.
Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt
Russ Grimm Assistant Head Coach
Kevin Spencer Special Teams
Deshea Townsend Assistant Defensive Backs
was a former player
Ray Horton Defensive Coordinator
Steelers Defensive Back coach from 2004-2010

Things to consider
(1) The game is at Arizona
(2) Arizona coming off a Bye Week
(3) Big Games coming up, after this game for the Steelers
(4) Steelers dealing with a lot injuries
(5) Ray Horton was the Steeler Defensive Back coach for 6 years before taking the Arizona Defensive Coordinator job this year.

I am a HUGE Steeler fan. But with 2 weeks to prepare and having coaches who personally know the tendencies of the players they coached. Game should be a Sell -Out because of Steeler Fans. Cardinals will be pumped up because they are playing the AFC Champions. I like and think this is a Great Spot for the Cardinals.
