Mine ended up being an infection. Had antibiotics for 21 days and then Cipro for another 18. Going back in 3 months. Have to keep an eye on this stuff.
Did you have any symptoms of an infection besides having to pee all night? I bet that's what I have.
Nope no symptoms. Thing is when I was there last time (Nov) he said to me if you have any of the same symptoms call. I told him I didn't know of anything to begin with? He just said OK. I go back in May.
turns out the rapaflo messes with my sinuses...drys the hell out of them.....
i have to do 2 days an and then a day or two off.....
the medicine actually still works pretty good even after two days off....
that really sounds like an enlarged prostate ,jack.....it`s usually just a benign condition that hits guys in their 50`s...
make sure you get a psa...the doctor will check to see if you have blood in your urine.....
even if someone contracted prostate cancer,if it`s caught early,it`s pretty much curable....
that`s why i`m gonna make a regular habit of seeing my guy a couple times a year....he can finger pop my ass till the cows come home,as long as he`s also doing his job while he`s partyin` down ...the real fun starts this spring when(i believe) i`m do for my colonocopy....
it`s almost ashamed i`m not gay...,i`d be rollin` in clover:00x23 ...

Not to put a damper on things, but I had a very healthy prostate until I had a checkup after a couple of years, and he felt something weird up in there.
Long story short... you know the rest.
Never had an issue with peeing, getting up at night, leakage, anything. Total control, no issues.
Until a guy sticks his finger up your ass, and then your life changes.

reminds me of a doc I read once who did his own self digital prostate examination and good thing he did, barely caught the cancer in time--seven months before he was scheduled for regular physical which probably would have been too late for his fast aggressive cancer....
He said no. He felt the damn thing :shrug:
I'm not going to ask him to do it again because weasie said it sounds enlarged to him.

Weas, all those meds will make u have a dry mouth. I think that might b the most common side effect of all meds combined anyway but really bad with that class of drugs.
Prostatitis is the infection u all are talking about, I think. Best way to diagnose it properly is piss a little n a cup, then the doctor does a prostate exam/massage then pee again. First sample probably good and second has bacteria/infection. I have a friend who went several weeks with pain, nausea, vomiting, night sweats, and even chest pain b4 he was diagnosed with Prostatitis! It can be wicked bad!!
Jack's problem of peeing all the time at night or nocturia is very common for men and women too and usually gets worse with age. Can mean a whole bunch of other things besides prostate problems too especially if u have been checked and it's ok.
Hope u guys can get this stuff diagnosed and properly treated!

Take care of that apnea problem Bart, I have a severe case of it. NOT GOOD ! Every one of my sleep studies have shown that it takes me over 4 hours to go to REM SLEEP, where the Average person takes less than an hour ! :scared
Try that shit in field in the Army, especially in a combat zone ! Aaargh ! When the Army denied I had a problem.

been told u need to make sure u are getting Calcium in order for ur Vitamin D tablets to be effective. One of the best sources for Vitamin D is sunlight. unfortunately sunlight is one of the best sources for skin cancer. :facepalm:

Jack just some info. on Flomax I took it for 3-4 mo. last year worked fine but started to have dizzy spells when I would get up from sitting or laying down. Doctor checked me out had me lay on table & get up & check my blood pressure which dropped. So I cut off the flomax. Down the road I went on Uroxatral worked until I started to get cramps . So back to square one. Make sure you keep an eye on any blood in urine Because I ignored it for awhile I finally tested & Came up with cancer of the bladder. Smokers are high risk.
Thanks. I'm going to try it for one week. If it works, I'll keep taking it, if not, I'll go to a specialist.
