i`m assuming we`re talking about vitamin d?...

when do you go see your dr. next?....do you usually get bloodwork done prior to a dr`s visit?.....if you do,ask him beforehand about getting your vit d. level checked...it`s just a blood test..it`s just taken from the blood you`re already giving prior to your physical......most people are deficient....

i wouldn`t take any more until you confirm that you need it....

Yeah, vitamin D.

I don't go back until February so I get all the blood work done then. I get the BW after I see him, not before. I kinda like the before thing so maybe I'll ask for that this time when i schedule my appointment. :0074

yeah..get the bloodwork before....i always prefer having the doctor tell me what a wreck i am to my face......ask him to get your "d" checked...

i work out 5 times a week...treadmill and bowflex...i don`t eat meat....i drink non-fat milk....do mostly everything right.....

yet.my prostate sucks,i have traumatic glaucoma from getting repeatedly thumbed in the eye in my youth,i have asthma(and never smoked),which has gotten bad enough at times that i have to take b.p. medicine when it gets bad(you can`t breath, your pressure goes up)....

my knee is having problems even though the tests come back negative for any damage or arthritis.....

so the moral of the story is?......do what the hell you want....you can`t stave off the inevitable...

how`s the prostate,bud?...dr gave me some 8 mg samples of rapaflo to try....

it`s in capsule form,so i did what i always do...i dumped half of the powder the first time i tried it(you never know how meds can affect you)...

good thing...half dose(even a little less) was plenty..felt a little woozy from that the first night...after that first night, feeling o.k......i`m peeing almost normally after 2 days at half strength....amazing stuff...

no gettin` up at night...i`m sleeping well....bladder emptying....and the med knocks the b.p down a little when the asthma kicks in....

i hate taking meds, but, this stuff ain`t half bad so far...

start out with half a dose...just open the capsule and dump half down the drain...i think a full dose would make me dizzy,too...

I'd love to be back on this every night.

I have been getting up every hour and a half all night long every night. I can put a clock on it, it's so damn accurate. Every hour and a half. During the day I hardly piss at all

Went today for my yearly checkup. Had him check with the finger this time because of the symptom I have and everything was fine. No enlargement and no bumps or whatever the hell they're looking for.

So, they took blood and pee, and I'll wait and see what happens. Hopefully it's one of those hidden urinary tract infections.

I'm always tired too, so he's checking bloodwork on kidneys, liver, thyroid and all the other normal ones they always check.

gettin' old

You're just getting cracked up good, boss. But I need to get to the doc myself. I'm the world's worst at taking care of myself.....I know I have sleep apnea, but never gone in to get it dealt with.

I know I have it too and I went and had the sleep study done like 2-3 years ago. Turns out I didn't have it

Well...when I say i "know" I have it....I guess I don't really know. But i do know that I snore really badly.....and Samantha tells me that sometimes I "pause" when I snore. So it certainly sounds like thats what I have. My Dad had it...my Mom has it and wears a sleeping apparatus...so I guess I'm just dragging my feet. I shouldnt though because I'm sure getting all of this BS handled will make me feel tons better.

Jack how many nights was your study?

I just went to a lecture on airway issues and something like 2/3 of people who pass the first night fail the next. It takes the adjustment to all the crap you need to wear. I'm not sure the exact numbers but it was surprising enough that it stood out to me.

One night. When they said I didn't have it, it was hard to believe because I have all the symptoms. Maybe I'll go back and try again. Plus, since I quit smoking, I have gained an extra 35 pounds and I'm sure the extra weight doesn't help.
I've been working on taking that off though :0074
