How sad this all is. People will suspend logic and common sense just because they want to see someone they envy get fucked. That's what all this is about.

You've really gone off the rails on this one, my friend. :0003
Whatever. Good I'm glad. Just trying to be part of the insanity.

You're a smart guy, I'm sure you played some football. You ever check the inflation of the ball? Would you give a shit if the other teams as a tiny bit more or less inflated when you did? Ever try to throw a deflated football? Thats what this is about right? A slightly deflated football. Do you think any real football player would give a shit or would they know like I do that it provides no competitive edge whatsoever when throwing the ball.

Deflated by more than 25% is not slightly. And if there is no edge why would they sneak around to break the rule and play with a ball that is not legal?

You're the one that's wrong on the internet this time.

Case closed.

Since he's going to miss the Steelers game it's only fair he misses the Ravens game as well. :0003

That's 4 weeks suspension right there. :0008

Here is my take on it:

1. I use to like Tom Brady, and I still think he is a great competitor and probably one of the best QB's to play the game. In the top 5, Joe Montana is better for sure. However, upon seeing his latest press conference regarding deflategate and his status I really don't like him much anymore. I think part of greatness is being humble, that has always been my opinion. In this latest press conference, I have never seen an athlete be such a cocky, arrogant, entitled asshole and that's exactly the way he came off. Maybe he is worried about the deflategate consequences right now, but this is no way to be portrayed to the public. Hope he gets suspended for a year. This won't happen though, maybe just a few games for him.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kC6Bhl8buvI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

2. Roger Goodell should be fired or forced to resign. He has fucked up so bad this past year in a number of areas. The Ray Rice and AP scandals are just a few of his supreme fuck ups. I do understand that he is great friends with Bill Kraft and I bet this influences Brady's suspension. Let me strike that, I know it will influence the decision. HE's the worst commissioner we've had by a longshot.

3. The Patriots knew about deflategate and cheated anyway. This is fact. I know this is a fact because they have professionals monitor everything in the NFL. I think Shannon Sharpe says it best here:

With quarterback Tom Brady expected to hear from the NFL this week about a possible suspension for his role in Deflategate, the New England Patriots could be looking to sign another veteran quarterback.

If he is suspended, Brady would be the highest-profile NFL player ever to receive such a punishment in the 96-year history of the league.

Tom Brady says Wells Report 'absolutely' does not taint Super Bowl championship

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told Boston.com on Saturday that "no decisions have been made" regarding any potential punishment for Brady.

Aiello was responding to an article by Gary Myers of the New York Daily News, with the headline, "Tom Brady will be suspended by Roger Goodell for role in DeflateGate, announcement expected next week."

"It is Gary Myers' prediction," Aiello wrote. "The headline is misleading."

If a suspension is announced this week, the Patriots likely would need to add to their roster, with the only other quarterbacks on the depth chart behind Brady are untested Jimmy Garoppolo and Garrett Gilbert.

Both 23-year-olds quarterbacks have never started an NFL game.

Garoppolo, who was Brady's backup during his rookie season in 2014, completed 19 of 27 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown, mostly in mop-up duty.

Gilbert was a sixth-round draft choice of the St. Louis Rams in 2014 out of SMU who first joined the Patriots' practice squad in mid-December.

Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston floats the name of longtime Green Bay Packers backup Matt Flynn as a possible free agent signing. Other veteran quarterbacks available include Michael Vick, Jason Campbell and Tarvaris Jackson.

The 243-page Ted Wells report was released Wednesday and concluded that the Patriots "more probable than not" violated NFL rules and Brady "was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities" of the deflated game balls.

Brady did not willingly reveal conversations, text messages and emails requested by Wells and his investigative team.

Wells found Brady and the Patriots' equipment staff were all likely culpable in reducing the psi, mandated at 12.5 pounds, of 11 footballs in the AFC Championship game in January against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts brought the issue to the attention of the league, sparking a four-month investigation.:scared

In his summary, Wells wrote about the irregularities in the footballs used in the game when the Patriots routed the Colts 45-7 to win the AFC title. The Patriots went on to beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in the Super Bowl.

It did give them a competitive edge or they would not have been doing it. End of story. Brady is one of the best QB's of all time and this will be just a blip on his hall of fame career but a cheater all the same and lied about it.

And provided you had proof of them doing it. I still have yet to see where anyone texted or said or gave the order to deflate the balls below allowable limits.
On another note, how does the NFL get away with having zero culpability in this when there rules basically opened this can of worms? Wouldn't it have been far more sensible for each team to provide game balls at the beginning of the season or every week and the league could have maintained their possession and eliminated all the guess work involved? Just asking man not saying it's all their fault

If Brady and the Pats did nothing wrong, as you have said, then why would the NFL be culpable of anything?

I find it comical that this thread is now 114 posts long debating this.
FDC, I said this 100 posts ago that 100% evidence is not needed. This isn't a court case. There is enough evidence with the texts. And not cooperating with the investigation piles onto it.

I swear to Christ I'm done coming into this thread and debating this with someone that fails to see the violation. Enjoy your day. :mj01:

4 games(I expect it to be appealed to 2)...but that 1st round draft choice(along with a 4th) is gonna sting...

I expected goodell to go squishy here.....he didn`t....

It is comical. I guess the NFL thinks he did it. 4 games being reported? No he didnt do it. He did not cheat. He did not lie.

So if Brady beat the shit out of Gisele he would of got 2 game suspension like Ray Rice? And they had video to prove that he knocked her out in the elevator!

I wouldn`t be very worried,blitz....this is going to get halved(at least) on appeal......and garoppolo will probably do very well...
